Comic Book Shop

Anyone know how you're supposed to take interior photos while remaining anonymous on this one? There's one near me that has a bonus but that part makes me cringe. This shop is very small with not a lot of customers and I just don't know how I would pull that one off.

I did one, and I went back after the store was closed and took it through the window. It wasn't a great photo, but it was accepted. I couldn't figure out another way to do it. The store was so small, and the owner really want any browsing without his assistance.
That's what I was thinking Sunshine, the associate is going to see everything I do in that small shop. So what are you actually required to photograph? This store doesn't even have windows to do that although I doubt I would anyway. I'd like to see whoever came up with that idea perform it without being noticed! Guess I'll keep moving on...
The one or two I did here in Vegas only required a photo from outside of the store, of the store showing their name.
is this the one where you have to ask for 3 magazines that are not in stock yet? if so they will know who you are most of the time. I have heard of them getting very abusive to the mystery shopper..

for the photo...just stroll around fiddling with your phone in front of you...take a pic without looking at the screen (and no flash and no sound).....10 seconds later act like you are checking a text message to see if the pic is ok.
I have my son send me an email with the titles of the comics and "read" the email after wandering around, and say my son asked me to buy one of these for his collection, and give the titles. The response so far is that they will be out in the morning. I have asked if I could see what they look like, and been told they are still wanting to be unpacked, which will be in the morning.
I did not have to take an interior photo when I did these, just a photo of the outside of the shop.

Nice. I love slick solutions to issues such as this.

Where are we going... and why are we in a hand basket?
The ones I've done the interior photos were optional. The second one I did the store was quite small. I may have been had that time.

BTW, a way to help avoid being pegged as a shopper when taking a picture: I hold my finger over the speaker when the camera clicks. Means I'm the only one to hear it in most cases. Also I often take random pictures of price tags or products I am interested in, but don't want to buy right away.

I've done that with the BBB gift registry...i say I made the mistake of telling my spouse I was here and he texted me to get the gift registry...
I guess I got lucky and didn't get caught when I did the comic book shop a few days ago. While I was browsing around the store, a customer came in and started talking to the employee. So I turned my back towards them and took a quick photo of one of the comic stands with my digital camera. I made sure I turned off the flash and sound on my camera before my visit. After I completed the shop, I left the store and stood several feet away, zoomed in, and took another photo of the inside of the store with all the TV monitors. There were two mall security guards nearby and they didn't seem to notice what I was doing.

It was always just an outside pic when I did them. Have they added a required inside picture? Remember you can only do each location once per lifetime so make sure you get a good bonus.

Shopping Western NY, Northeast and Central PA, and parts of Ohio and West Virginia. Have car will travel anywhere if the monies right.
BufflaoNY101,

Yes, now they require two interior photos of the store, two exterior photos, a photo of the store hours (if available), and a photo of the mall's exterior if the store is inside a mall. The shopper fee is lower than the last time I did this shop a few years ago. I only agreed to do it because it was bonused and I had nothing better to do that day.
I was fortunate to do a very large multi-department store. I took a photo of the gaming area, which was off in the corner. No one noticed.

I just say something like "I've got to show my friend/sister/husband this. S/He is not going to believe you have...." The ones I've been in have been okay with it. I always make it sound like they will possibly get business off of my picture. ;-)
