I got offers today for several different routes with up to 50 locations each, over geographical areas spanning over a hundred miles north-south and east-west. They were offering about $11 per location. I decided that it would take me at least an hour (maybe more) just to enter the addresses so that I could see where they were, more time to then divide them into reasonable routes, and then time to multiply miles by the IRS rate (the easiest part). I am certain that double the rate would not be enough to even pay for mileage since I would have to spend an hour (on average, in some cases easily two hgours) getting to the start of each route each day, and then come back and some are in areas with a lot of traffic.
So, I decided that it wasn't even worth trying to figure it out.
When I am bored, I respond to the "make me an offer" request to do business verifications which are in the middle of nowhere, 150 miles and 3 hours away. That at least is easy to calculate. A day of my time, 300 miles. I have never had an offer accepted, so "make me an offer" means nothing.
