Shop and Citation Reminder?

So I received an email this morning reminding me for a hardware shop that i have scheduled today and it kind of irritated me. I've never received this before and am wondering if this is common? First off, I have done many shops with this company and have received all 10's except one shop I got a 9, never flaked, nothing. This is what I received:

This is a reminder that you are assigned to a shop that is due tonight 5/26. Your report MUST be submitted by midnight tonight, as our deadline is approaching. If it is not submitted by midnight tonight, it will be removed from your page and your account WILL be citated. The citation will negatively impact your chances of picking up future shops.

Is this kind of email common? It's from a different scheduler, one that I have never worked with before. So i'm just confused why I received it I guess?

Some MSCs seem to do this, but most do not. Once in awhile, it has actually saved me. I don't see any harm in it. It is certainly not a comment on your performance. View it as a reminder, just like a reminder on your calender. But since it is inconsistent, don't count on getting it.

It may be because it is so close to the end of the month deadline for their schedulers that you are seeing this.

Poor customer service? Don't get mad; get video.
It's pretty common. Some MSCs utilize this auto-e-mail-reminder and some do not. Sometimes it's been a good reminder for me. And sometimes I just delete it.
Ok, thank goodness. I thought it was just to me with how the layout of the email was I took it kind of personal and that's why I was so confused! Good to hear! You guys fixed my nerves lol

this is just an automated message from a scheduler who has
poor communication skills. Sending out a reminder email about
a shop is one thing, but to threaten shoppers instead of reminding
them if they cant do the shop to contact them immediately, shows
poor communication skills and one that would not be an effective leader.

How about receiving this email with subject: This mystery shopping job is now either ALMOST Due OR potentially OVERDUE

And you look and it's due in three days. Then you receive it again the next day...This used to bother me because I have never flaked, but I guess that is how they do their business and if you are not used to it, you could really question your memory or organizational skills. How could I forget to record that shop?
Irritating ..... but I just ignore.

On the other hand, how many times have we had newbies come in and post: Help! I accepted a shop and I forgot who I accepted it with and I can't read the directions and do the shop now. What will I do?

I guess those are the ones who really need these reminders.
"Citated?" Since when?

Oh my goodness!! I get it! The first email was sent at 8:34 am, then I received one 12:56, 1:03, 1:58, and then at 2:03... that seems a little excessive.

I know the MSC. It's the same one that says "no excuses please" in regards to not being able to get the shop done. I asked for an extension of a day and received a citation because I had already received the e-mail that said "no excuses". I was also granted the extension as a "one time courtesy" so that I could earn the money.
I like the email reminder that I get the day before. I have never "forgotten" a shop but it is good to "ping" my mind that a shop is coming up the next day. I don't like when they start the emails two or more days before the shop.
I actually don't mind it. When I get a reminder I look at my calendar to verify smiling smiley I find it very useful.

The one that irritates me is the one from certain unpopular company, "WARNING. YOUR REPORT IS DUE OR NEAR DUE TODAY!!" which freaks me out a little bit. I actually complained that it made my report look like it was LATE or IN DANGER tongue sticking out smiley
Did you copy and paste their exact email? I ask because "citated" is not even a word! Of course they mean "cited". They deserve a citation for using improper wording.
Yes, I too have received an occasional "harsh" or rude reading email. On second reading I usually notice that the danged thing is an "auto-email" generated by a computer program....

Schedulers get stressed out too.. smiling smiley

Haha yes I did copy and paste the email. And i can see now it is generated but at first I was very confused because I have never seen this before. I think they should re word it or say it a little nicer since its just a reminder.
