Has anyone done the Timeshare Resort Shop?

The email said I would need to put about $2500 on my credit card for an all-inclusive resort vacation for two, including airfare, to audio record the presentation. I am considering it and know these have been offered in the past. Has anyone done these? I'd like to hear from someone with real experience; I know many of you have your opinion on the "what ifs" of this kind of shop.

I would do it if it were for a legit company I had shopped for several times before, and if I could afford the vaca on the slim chance that I blew something and the shop wasn't accepted. Your cc bill also may come due before your reimbursement arrives. I posted last month about a timeshare presentation where I was required to buy and put down a deposit. It was for one of the major MSCs. I was advised against it by several on this forum, but I decided to give it a go. The credit card charge said pending on my account for several days, then disappeared before it ever posted, so no problem.
Thanks for letting us know how it worked, tbclay. I read the thread with interest and wondered how it would work out.
