Lack of Shops at End of Half

I can't find the thread where a shopper complained of a decrease in shops. This has been the slowest week I've ever had since beginning mystery shopping in November of last year. Could this be due to the end of the half? Hopefully, the shops in my area will pick up in July. Sure, I can request some $6.00 shops from Ritter or go way out of my way for a $10.00 shop. Is anyone else noticing this and is this the norm for the end of the half?

Lorrie, I think you'll see an uptick in work around the end of the month and the first of July.

I agree with Mary. We have a whole week for EOM Madness to generate panic bonuses! I am just beginning to see them here.

Based in MD, near DC
Shopping from the Carolinas to New York
Have video cam; will travel

Poor customer service? Don't get mad; get video.
I'm also lacking work here. Only one shop this week, which is really unusual. I have gotten more selective these days as I learn which shops I hate doing, but still.
No slowdown in sight here. I have another 100 shops to do over the next week
with various schedulers still asking for help. I've turned down quite a few shops.
This is usually one of the busier months since not only is it the end of the quarter
it is also the end of the fiscal year for many large companies.

I am booked going into the third week of July. My first two weeks of August are already booked. I NEED another vacay!
It was slim pickins in my area too. This is going to be my slowest month in a long time.

I am slammed for July already. I too need a vacay~!

I am going to look on Orbitz and get me out of here .......for a lil while smiling smiley
You people talk about needing a vacation and I've spent all of about 40 hours at home since May 6th, ROFLMAO.

Also I am booked through July already. No slowdown in sight. :/

Are you a full-time shopper? Or part-time. Your post implies that you are booked 24/7 for the next 4 weeks. Other posts you've made about your minimum fee implies that you are making $5k to 8k as a mystery shopper. That's not possible. No shopper, including a video shopper, can pull down more than $4k/month. And after expenses and taxes, that's less than general managers at a Jamba Juice store earn.

@PetroAuditGal Please advise us how it is impossible to pull in more than 4k a month as you claim.

@PetroAuditGal if you say so. Just because you aren't as efficient
as others doesn't mean no one else is.

Less than 40 minutes after joining the forum and she starts with the negative posts already? Makes you wonder, huh?
In response to techman01's post, "Please advise us how it is impossible to pull in more than 4k a month as you claim," PetroAuditGal respond's by saying, "No, techman, I don't have to do that."

PetroAuditGal, forum members do not have to tell you how much they make, how many hours they work, who they work for, etc. In fact, with your negative attitude, the majority of forum members are not going to want to help you at all.
PetroAuditGal. All this talk about how much it costs others to mystery shop and how miniscule their profits are is a bunch of opinionated delusional trash. You don't know anyone else's circumstances. You only know your circumstances. Welcome to the forum.

Just simply not true. $4k a month is roughly $1k per week. I just returned from a 6 week trip in which only 1 week was less than a $1k in profit after ALL expenses.

I can only aspire to make the kind of money techman makes though.

She's done a lot of reading and posting for someone who was here all of 30 minutes. Anybody who speed-reads like that must know it all, right?
I can only aspire to make the kind of money that a high school kid makes working at a FF store.

June is my best month of 2015. So dependent on location, un/willingness to travel, and competition.
Apparently you are still having reading comprehension problems.

Most of us will never earn $4,000 per month but that doesn't mean it's impossible. It's impossible for me because I won't work that hard and I won't leave home overnight. It's apparently also impossible for you. I'm so glad to hear it's your last word. Thank you.
