Papa John's Photo question

Good morning

I have a quick question. What is the purpose of taking a picture of the PJ pizza?? A pizza with Pepperoni and Bacon is no different then a pizza with green peppers is it??

Thanks

My thought is that they want to look very closely at the toppings and the spacing of the ingredients. Although I don't know why certain combinations are not allowed, I would expect they have gotten poor visuals from these combos. As a practical thought, they may not want to pay for double meat if that costs more. I personally would like to order bacon and onions but that is not allowed either.
Well, I know this is going to sound cynical, but the true purpose of taking the required photographs is that if you don't, you won't get paid. There are a lot of scenarios and questions and aspects of specific shops which make no sense to me, but they are required by the MSC and their client, so I have to do them so that I get paid. On a more speculative note, Siamese5555 is probably close to the truth.

Shopping Southeast Pennsylvania, Delaware above the canal, and South Jersey since 2008
Quality Control. They can tell a lot about how a pizza is cooked, the correct amount of toppings, distribution of them, delivery (was the pie smooshed?), inclusion of sauce and pepper, is the pepper fresh enough, etc. Also, and I'm just guessing here, but they can see if there's enough grease on top. winking smiley
I think to prove you actually ordered the pizza and as LGRM said, the way the pizza looks. I think their program is all about the look of the pizza and the quality. Some customers won't complain if they get a burnt pizza or spoiled ingredients. They will just stop coming in to PJ's. I think the timings are BIG on delivery as well, how long it took to get the pizza to the customers. smiling smiley
There are tons of Botox Juan threads on this board. Search them out ... they're entertaining and informative!

Really? The first pizza has basically all brown toppings and has the potential to give you clogged arteries. The second pizza of just green peppers is green (more noticeable) and a lot healthier for you.

Many restaurants, both casual and fine dining, want specific photos of the food and sometimes drinks. Taking photos is so easy compared to writing long narratives.
I love to take pictures.. There are other toppings that I like that is not allowed sad smiley

I remember one FF place that I used to do and there were no pictures.. Now you have to take a picture and I believe the fee is lower and it is with the same company..
I was told by one of the main MSC's for this that the reason the green peppers are not allowed anymore with mushrooms and tomatoes is that the green peppers commonly will look like neon green in the photos. The photos were not good quality and so they had to reject the shops. It was easier just to put that on the disallowed list to make sure that they do not have more rejected shops (and then upset shoppers, etc.).

Shopping across Indiana but mostly around Indianapolis.
I don't mind taking photos. Sometimes the purpose is POV and other times it's quality. They are checking to ensure the pizzas, for example, are cooked to their specifications. After all, how many times have you looked at a picture of a burger, ordered it, and then said, "boy, that doesn't look like the picture?" I haven't done a PJ shop. Pay is low unless bonused and the locations aren't close to me. I probably would have done a couple, but having to print out that ridiculous label and receipt page is over the top for me.

It is a one-page printout. What's the big deal?
It's redundant when you are sending them the receipt. Printing takes ink and when you are in a situation where pennies count then every page counts as well.
The ones I have done (at highly bonused amounts) do not require an actual receipt. The label acts at the receipt. But if money is that tight for you, maybe it is best that you don't do any purchase shops and you just go for the fees.
It's not that it's a purchase shop, it's that it's a low pay shop with a lot of exactness and extra to it. It's not worth it, to me.
And that is your pejorative. That is the great thing about MS'ing. One person's cubic zirconia is another person's diamond. Since I don't eat this type of pizza, I will only take one when it is highly bonused. So with the reimbursement, I am making total profit and donating the pizza to someone who needs/wants it for a report with very limited commentaries and about five photos. Easy peasy.
I used to take these shops but they routinely rejected my photos. Funny, I use the same camera/phone to take photos for Little Cesars and they are always accepted, two different companies. As a result I have to eat terrible pizza for low pay, not always worth it.
