Yes the delay in payment is a factor in planning; my budget is a little bit of hell to keep organized if I may say so! I use posted release dates but that doesn't mean I will get the job. While I'm in a conversation with a scheduler I do try to nail down the frequency of the offer when I'm told it's on-going.

I have worked for SQM - I have a high regard for their methods. You will feel their support for the work you do.

I just was accepted for my first shop with SQM. It is for the first two weeks of October. I'll let you all know what I think after I complete it. (If I remember.)

So far I am not impressed with their testing methods. Like others have noted, their tests are hard to pass. I am on day about 32 of trying to pass the Level 5 test. I finally wrote down my responses and marked the ones I am not sure about. Wish me luck. I am going to try passing it again later today.

It's odd that after I became level 9 shopper I lost interest in reimbursement shops only. I used to do a lot of their shops and I have had no problem with them at all. Unfortunately, at the back of my mind, I am reminded that this is business, not fun only. So unless I just have to do the shop because I enjoyed doing it so much or my sons enjoyed it, I concentrate on their other shops with no cash outlay or on other MSCs for my revenue. But they do have fun and interesting shops. Next time, I probably will try their hotel shops.

I did several reimbursement only to get a foot in the door. Now I am getting jobs from them that actually pay! At first I thought the reports might be as bad as the tests, but once you've done a few they are okay. I got to the level where I could do restaurants and stopped taking the tests. I might go back and finish them at some point. I do like working for the company.

I have done shops for SQM too. Did you notice that they never bonus their shops? Even when there are large numbers of shops sitting on the job board at the end of the month or quater, I never see them bonused.

You are right, Fenicia. They send out lots of emails asking for people to do them though. I wonder if anyone has ever tried asking for a bonus? The ones that are left are never convenient for me, although for a bonus they could be!
No, as far as I know, they never do. Once, when a shop was offered to me, I asked if it was bonused and I was told it was not. Since it seldom appeared on the board, I accepted. I guess that's what they do with shops that are not taken within the month. They do offer shops months in advance.
