As for opinions: Just because you preface with IMO or OMHO, does not mean it is correct, astute, significant, or even profound. It is, your opinion based upon your learnt knowledge. (BTW, a friend once said she had read this statement somewhere. Hence, it has been paraphrased by me).[/quote wrote:

When my friend mentioned this statement to me (I wish I could remember the author!!), I felt it was a significant statement.
At the risk of injecting Godwin's Law, I feel the statement has particular relevance when statements such as "IMO, the Holocaust did not happen" or other such truly foolish and ignorant opinions that are made. When statements such as that are prefaced with the disclaimer, "IMHO" or "IMO", the learnt knowledge of the person is painfully obvious. IOW, just because one uses the disclaimer does not make the statement worthwhile. Could it be simple semantics? I suppose.
That was what I meant. It was not a jab at any one person.
Nonetheless, Mary's simple statement about complacency is both astute and profound.
IMO anyway!
Cheers!

Hey chigirl, it's not like folks in your neck of the woods speak all that highly of the Cards! Hahahahaha! You gotta admit, it is one of the best rivalries in baseball
In Alabama, a good many folks "learnt" things too. Juat ask my SO. Just saying.@Mary Smith xoxoxo wrote:

Typical scenarios: Someone complains about the way they were treated by the biggest MSC.
Typical response: A few self-appointed mystery shopping experts who probably earn less per year net than a typical fast food restaurant employee feel obligated to defend the biggest MSC.
Why?

Does it make you feel better to know I refer to the Blues as the Cubs of the NHL? Almost 40 years with no Stanley Cup Meanwhile, haven't the Black Hawks won like three of the last five years? And with a former Blues coach no less?

As for answering the question asked, I don't think the OP deserves or even wants an answer. This thread was started with an attacking, insulting post and the only response I feel is necessary would be from the OP, who apparently is a self-appointed judge who feels free to attack and insult others while judging posts of other forum members, apparently due to defenses of Market Force. An apology might be nice. Editing an offensive post might be nice.
exactly, well-said and spot on

Here's my question. What makes someone an expert and how do you know if they appointed themselves or not? Maybe we have these top secret mystery shopper conclaves twice a year and add new experts. Sorry you haven't been invited yet. But hey, like the Cubs say, there's always next year.
Hey now, you watch what you say about my Cubbies!!!

I'm not putting anyone down, maybe it's just my personality. But I stopped posting as much because of all of stuff that I interpreted to just be snarky and unnecessary for the questions that I was asking. And since I know for a fact that schedulers read the posts and sometimes offer input I would hate for them to see me in a less than positive light.
