Photo audits - fast food

I have never done a photo audit. I've seen a few listed before, but have always hesitated because they sound like you need to go back a few times to get them done. I just saw a simpler shop though that sounds like it's just taking the pictures and filling in the form, whatever that consists of. Has anyone done these? Advice? Thoughts? Are they more complicated than they seem? ... and the biggee ... do you get out of your car and just walk over and take photos of the menu boards?

Is fast foot the singular for fleet feet?

It would help which MSC you're talking about.

Yeah but we're not supposed to link these guys together so I like to stick with being as generic as possible. The real question is do folks get out of their cars and walk up to the menu boards to take pictures. I guess they must. I've never seen anyone doing it but there are many fast food brands involved here. I just wonder what folks think or if the fast food place sees you out there taking pictures of its menu boards.
That was the best typo in like foreversmiling smiley

Okay. Sounds like the Mystery Researchers project.

Yes, these are as simple as taking the pictures and getting a receipt as your proof of visit. Be absolutely aware that if they cannot interpret everything they need from the menu, they will not accept it. Basically, you just have to double check your pictures before you leave. Do you need to get out of your car to take your pictures? Well, can your camera take quality pictures from your vehicle? If not, then maybe you would need to step out to get a clear picture.

Simple project, but the instructions that state to order like a packet of sauce will cause you more of a headache to make sure you stay under the $1 reimbursement limit. In other words, most of the time, I found that the establishments would give them to me and not charge me the $0.25 like they're supposed to. While this is OK, it adds on more of a headache to let the MSC know what went on. In those cases, I just order the cheapest food item (from the dollar menu) and suck up the ~$0.07-0.10 for each assignment.
