Odd. All of the original $3 gas shops have disappeared.

Every one of the first $3 gas shops in a 50 mile radius of me has disappeared. There were at least 40 to 45 left on the board last night. This morning the email I received listing the increased fees showed most of them still there and up to $4.50 to $5.00.

Now tonight every single one is gone. I don't think they were all taken because they would still show on the board as backups unless someone shopped everyone all this afternoon. Seems strange.

I thought that but then I searched all cities in a 100 mile radius and every single one of those is gone too. And that 100 mile radius includes Chicago, Indianapolis, and a few other really huge areas. There is no way a couple 100 gas stations were shopped today. Especially in my area where all areas around me have been hit with 5-15 inches of snow in the past 36 hours.

When I said a route, I didn't actually mean that someone shopped them today, just that they assigned them all to someone for say a week of shops, or?

But maybe they also realized that due to weather conditions it might be irresponsible to ask shoppers to go out?

That is the only way I take those shops anymore, routes are generally given at a higher price per shop

lisams901....our areas must overlap. I'm in central IN. My 100 mile radius doesn't get to Chicago, but ALL of the original $3 (S) shops are gone. The 2nd round of shops (M) are still there, though. I still think that (S) & (M) (NOT that kind...get your minds out of the gutter!!!) are still the same company, though. The training videos used the same lady & I think some of the footage might have been similar too.

If someone took them as a route, it will last a while because there were hundreds of shops all over Indiana that are simply gone.

Weird, our second round of shops aren't even on there. There are absolutely no shops for that gas station left on the board.

But the 2nd station, the one that requires 5 photos minimum, are still there for me.

Yep, they are all gone in my area. My guess is, they figure out that there is no way someone would do those shop for $3, or they read this forums, and find out we all are making fun of them

Oh okay, I thought you meant the second round for the first $3 station was still there because when they were first listed, each station had two visits.

No, all the $3 5 picture ones are still there.

Must be the weather. Here in Texas, they are still here. They have restrooms outside otherwise I would grab them at $7.00. Since I can only do them in the evening, there is no way, I'm going on the side of a building at night to take photos of a restroom that is probably in filthy condition.

I double checked my email from this morning about "fee increases" and one of the original $3 shops (S) is in the email saying it's now $3.75. It's gone from the board, though.

I think something is up. I really hope CoRI lost the project!!! I'm ticked at them for the insultingly low fees!

Still $3 here. I'll repost on the 12th. Thats when they normally start raising fees...

Two MSPs in my area cancelled shops in advance of our snow/ice storm. One sent an email saying "Stay Safe", and the other MSP sent nothing. Both are just now posting these shops again.

And now all of the first gas shops are back. Wonder where they went.

Lisa, I think it was probably their way of being responsible to their shoppers. They took 'em out for the inclement weather, then put em back.

That could be. Except the other gas chains that recently hit the board with $3 shops were still there.
