Paid, but Unrated & No Comments?

I just was paid and reimbursed for a mystery shop that was not rated (i.e. #/10) and to which no comments were added. It was an otherwise correctly completed mystery shop Scenario C, where the employee told me that priority was not an option on my 15"x12"x10" box. I ended up purchasing standard mail, though I wasn't sure which of the two options leftover (overnight or standard) was least-not-allowed.

#1 Is it possible that they paid me accidentally?
#2 If the answer to #1 is yes, can they revoke my payment later and/or deduct from other payments later?
#3 Does payment mean my shop was "accepted?"

Can someone please explain what's going on? All my shops since then have been rated pretty immediately and/or commented on, but this one was left out.

If you were paid, if was highly likely that it was accepted by the MSC and client.

Based upon what you wrote, the employee was not even close to doing the right thing. You should have been able to mail it Priority Mail, with a significant up-charge for Dimensional Shipping. They are trying to determine if the employees are doing their jobs correctly. In this case, you apparently encountered an employee who is headed for remedial training. Presumably you described what happened, and that is really your job. And my job. To help uncover things which are done wrong (and right).

I have had shops that did not get a rating but were still approved and paid. Like yours, mine had some type of unusual occurrence that likely required review by a higher-up.

Edited to add: And those shops were for the same MSC to which you refer.

Equal rights for others does not mean fewer rights for you. It's not pie.

There you go. Two differing sets of answers from Jay C and LisaSTL. Now you two, tell me who your Top 10 Fav MSCs are!

#2 I AM VERY BRAIN DEAD.

I was just having some fun. That said, if the answer to the first question was yes, the payment was made in error, the MSC technically could recall the payment or wait and deduct it from a future payment. I really, really doubt that is the case.

I had a similar issue I was wondering about. I did a shop for IntelliShop, which everyone knows are tough graders. It says payment pending, but they also did not provide a shop grade. I thought that was very strange but it's clearly accepted since it says payment pending. Is it normal for MSC's to not grade? Especially one like IntelliShop?
I've had a company or two (sassie platform) never issue ratings. I figured it's just how they work. Similar to the prophet platform- no news is good news, especially when the payment makes its way to you.

There are a fair number of Sassie MSCs which never issue grades. And some which seem to do it randomly, about 5% of the time. As long as I get paid, I don't worry about it. And I know that IntelliShop editors are apparently paid to find errors and get a bonus for awarding a grade of 9, and even more if they give you an 8. I really don't care. A make-believe but true to life example follows.
Editor: "You said that the clerk had brown hair with a white stripe down the center of his head. Please confirm."
Me: "Yes, the clerk had brown hair with a white stripe down the center of his head, as I stated in the report."
Editor: "You have been awarded a grade of 8 because we had to contact you. Thank you for your otherwise excellent report."

In June, I did two jobs where I had to test drive a car--same MSC, same car company, same model of car, two different dealerships. At the first one, I couldn't do the test drive because they didn't have that car available. The second one went pretty much according to the script. I got a rating on the second one, but not the first. However, I got paid for both, including the bonus. I wasn't expecting the bonus for the first one, but I got it. So, you just never know.
