GroundControl shops

They are mostly photos. You need to interact with salespeople and be comfortable making up excuses to take photos of products that they are showing you that are normally locked in a case. If your good at getting good photos out of your phone and can easily explain away why you need to take a photo of a product to show your significant other, then it's very easy.
The ones that I did were quite easy. Count a few items, take a few pictures, and then I was finished.
The excuse that I used was that my friend is homebound and wanted me to shop for her. I take the pictures and she texts me which ones that she would like.

I did a GroundControl Shop at a quick service restaurant. Super easy. No narrative at all, you do the report while you're there and there's nothing to do when you get home (except go into the MSC site and submit the 2-question "Yep, I did it" report). I've actually done it twice and would do it again.

OK, I have tried to find out on my own but no luck: Is GroundControl an MSC or a client that is being shopped?
(Please don't violate any ICA by telling me the other half!) I'm only asking because I find I like doing shops with photo components. If it is an MSC, where is their site? They probably don't have anything in my remote area, but I'd like to check anyway.

It is an app used by Customer Impact Info. No ICA violation here, as the clients remain unnamed.
I don't know the specifics of it, but others have said there are smartphone apps to take discreet pics...

I was sure that GroundControl was a client I had not heard of. I was speculating that it was a space-themed sports bar, maybe featuring Princess Leia look-a-likes.

The one that I did -- the scheduler added me to the Ground Control access groups, then sent me the link. It was extremely easy.
Shopping across Indiana but mostly around Indianapolis.
Ahh, that makes sense. I enjoy being able to do things via apps on-site so hopefully I will get invited to eventually!

You have to sign up for one of their Ground Control jobs (they're listed that way on the job board). Once you're signed up, you'll get the app invitation. Let us know what you think once you've done one!

Well I don't know which MSC's are using Ground Control so I will keep my eye open for it!
Must have missed that! The closest shop is four hours away from me so I won't be doing that one. 
The app is for Android and it works just fine on Android v4.4
I've used it on my iPhone too... no issues (other than a minor issue with user error

There's a Ground Kontrol bar in Portland, Oregon that has arcade games and has video game themed drinks. It's a fun place.
BTW, it is spelled as GroundCntrl (without the O's in Control) so if you are having trouble finding it, check your spelling. I'm going to be doing one on Saturday, hopefully on my iPad, which I checked with the scheduler (iPad is more reliable than my Android phone)
