When the USPS Changes from *Company X* to *Company Y*....

All my Hazmat shops for this week were taken away from me today with no notice or explanation, anyone else have this happen?

Please just hang tight, someone at corporate did that erroneously. They are trying to fix something weird that is going on where the scheduler can't see the shops. Everything will be fixed. The scheduler has a list of who was assigned to what.

You know how it is, you get going and then the wheels fall off.

Bad timing for sure, but hope you retrieve those wheels soon.

If it's a Hazmat shop, please check with your scheduler just to be sure.

Has anyone received payment for shops completed in October? I thought it would be sent by paypal on the 15th of the month following shops.

Doling out $16 to up to $48 for postage and not to get reimbursed for it is a hit. I would always stay under 5 lbs.

Do not read so much, look about you and think of what you see there.

I did 2 Reg PO shops last week with one of my scheduling companies, not with Summit. But, I was thrilled to see them, and it looks like they streamlined the report. Much easier than my last one. Almost no narrative or having to worry about he/she, him/her!
Park City, I can always count on you to be mean and snarky (even if they are synonyms). A few times you offer good information, but usually you just jump on posters. Wish you could control yourself a bit. I find your attitude can be unpleasant.
I had 3 hazmat shops removed. No email or explanation. When I did email Summit with a question never heard back. I am just backing off these shops until everything settles down. Are we ever going to get paid?

I still haven't :-/ In my experience, the schedulers have all been helpful and responsive, but I don't know if it's worth it if I am going to have to chase down my payment like this every month.

That's great for you... Doesn't change the fact that some of us still haven't.

hmmm....with their payment due date a week-ish late there is probably an issue with your report(s) (faulty or incomplete, etc) or like winemaker (whinemaker), see his/her mannnny different topics, some kind of "stability" issue...not to do any armchair analysis but that's a topic for another time?

certainly no offense but...just sayin'
I haven't even checked to see when payment should be made. Hmmm -- they don't seem to be on the master list for MSC payments. What is the payment schedule, anyway? The guidelines don't have anything about it.
Late payments...... Editors checking reports over a week later.... Emails never returned about questions before the shop.... Hope they work out the bugs quick.

are you personally experiencing all these issues or merely repeating what others are claiming?
@CANADAMOMMY wrote:

Are you an editor for them?

nope just someone who has done probably more assignments for this MSC than anyone and is able to read/understand guidelines, finish all assignments on time with reporting that requires no clarification(s) and someone who has been paid within 2 days of when the payments have been due (i've only been paid once because of their newness but relatively quickly). i have experienced none (zero) of any of the issues that a few of the folks that are harping/whining about...especially an individual who posts under different names and continues to start posts about this MSC and his/her "wining" (nope, not a typo but a play on the screen name) has become tiresome.
I doubt you hold the record for most shops for them. Not sure how you deduct that if you are not employed by them. Most of us CAN read and most of us CAN understand guidelines thank you very much.

ummmm...i'm certainly not an editor/scheduler/apologist for any MSC but...i do know the difference between your stated "deduct" and what you are probably trying to say which is "deduce". you just might wish to make a change in your posting. just sayin'

and...my claim is not that i "hold the record for most shops for them" but i believe that i said "probably have done more assignments for them".

and...yes, "most of us CAN read and most of us CAN understand guidelines" but it seems that the same people who continually bash MSCs are those few who CANNOT do those things and then make postings that try to excuse their own shortcomings.

and...i certainly have no trouble/issue with postings that have legit complaints/suggestions, etc. (i do my share of that) but i do have trouble with postings that just parrot other postings about issues that they have not experienced firsthand.

are you guilty of that or have you had firsthand knowledge?

I get it that a lot of us have had real problems but I just want to say it's not all bad everywhere in every case. I've done some of the regular jobs (not HazMat or Dumb and Wait which are not for me) and so far I've not had serious problems. I've been paid for part of them in the correct amounts with some still unpaid but not late. Also, my issues were addressed promptly and thoroughly prior to the shops.

If I did a shop and it was off my board before I reported it that would make me bonkers. If I tried to communicate and found a black hole I would be hot. But it's not all bad. It may take a while, but I'm hoping they can work through it. In the meantime, I'm feeling cautious.

My shops went off without a hitch. My payment was right on time. I'm not saying there are no issues, BUT if the posters complaining don't even know when payment is due, when it says right on the website, that is a clear indication to me that they are not reading everything.
When I have a question about a company, the first thing I do is go and scour the website for the information. Not ask someone who may be as clueless as me, and who I don't know from Adam, in a forum.

No, actually, there were absolutely zero issues with my shops. I did not have any editor follow-up e-mails on any of them, and all of them say OK for pay. My shops were completed a week before the end of October, and the payment person (when I FINALLY got a hold of them) said there was some kind of editing delay, although the shops were submitted on time and without issue. Not my problem. They then said they were making my payment a "high priority." That was a week ago, and I still have not received payment. That is too bad that winemaker made errors and is pinning the blame on the MSC (honestly I have not been on here much lately, as I have been busy doing big routes, but I will take your word for it), but that is not what I'm doing. I did not make errors or have issues, and the MSC IS the problem in this case.

parkcitybrian, I don't know what your problem is. I'm glad you got paid on time and have had success with the MSC, but it doesn't mean everyone has to agree with you or that everyone has had the same experience with them that you have. Not necessary to jump down our throats and assume we are the problem. There are MSCs on here that people routinely complain about that I have had little to no issues with. Sometimes the shopper is at fault, but sometimes they are not. Especially in a case like this where, as it was mentioned, this MSC has clearly bitten off more than it can chew and is having payment and communication issues (again mostly with the payment people and higher-ups, not the schedulers in my case) as a result.

It was stated in multiple e-mails that the USPS shops pay on the 15th of the month following the shops, making my payment almost two weeks late. I have been in contact with the company, as stated in my posts. I was just agreeing with someone who was frustrated about not being paid yet (I am also frustrated about this) and sharing my experience, which does in fact seem like one of the things this forum is for.

I, too, would be frustrated given what you have endured and while I certainly can be snarky about things there is no snark about this.
