Supervisor on shop arrested. What to do?

Earlier this week I did a casual dining shop. I gave the shop a poor review overall. One of the reasons was that in the middle of my shop, a man sitting in the dining room, not in uniform, walking back into the kitchen area, grabbed a fork and started eating out of one of the food pans! I gave a physical description of the man, including the color shirt he was wearing. I read last night in the newspaper that since then he's been arrested for stealing customer's credit card information. Should I notify the msc of this, or not?

I wouldn't. It had nothing to do with your particular shop. I'm sure the MSC's client knows already.

A gas station I shopped a couple of times was robbed twice in a short time frame right after I shopped it. I wanted to write the MSC and say, "SEE?! I told you it was a sketchy place." But, no, that wasn't my job.
I would not. What would you accomplish by notifying the MSC? The end-client (restaurant) would know the supervisor was arrested already, and this would be outside the scope of your shop.

Wow! But if you paid by credit card you might want to check your account. The things we see!
It's outside of your scope and even so, you have no idea of knowing if he was stealing DURING your visit.

Shopping the Greater Denver Area, Colorado Springs and in-between in Colorado. 33 year old male and willing to travel!
My original thought in reporting it is if they question my report. I gave a description of the man, but we were not allowed to detail things like height, race, age. I suppose they can always watch the video which will show him walking into the kitchen and eating out of the food pan.

I checked my credit card and thankfully there are no other charges.
Keep watching your card. The information may have been sold or exchanged. I got a flag from the CC company when someone tried to use my number in a casino several thousand miles from me.

As for reporting, I wouldn't since it was not when you were doing your shop that he was arrested. Eating out of a food pan is not inappropriate if there is a clean spoon or fork being used for each dip because 'tasting' is how they can tell if the food is fresh, properly seasoned, etc. More important is if that spoon or fork went into another container after it went in his mouth.

I have reported crime scene tape up when I went to perform a shop and got photos of it. I communicated with my scheduler with the photos and did follow up with a link to the local news feed on the bust that was happening at the location. I got paid for the shop and we rescheduled it for a week later to do again once the crime scene tape was gone.
You may also consider contacting your credit card issuer and request a new card (with a new number). It may be inconvenient but worth it for the peace of mind.

How do you know it was supervisor? You said no uniform. Could be regular employee or even whackjob customer.
