The renovations of the Gas Station audit

I also don't understand why Curling associated Plenti with Tesoro, because Tesoro is not a Plenti partner. [www.plenti.com]
There is a lot of mis-information on the Internet and in this forum.

"Synergy is the new name of Exxon and Mobil fuels and forecourt image. The image has been designed to give the forecourt a clean and fresh look. Eventually, the goal is for all Synergy standards to be incorporated into the core Site Experience evaluation. In 2015, a small number of ExxonMobil locations will begin updating the look of the sites."

Has anybody besides @Curling and myself seen the EM guidelines/requirements for the audits starting in October 2015? Just because one person has not seen something does not mean it does not exist. The internet has too be taken for what it is worth. And thanks for bringing the discussion back to the renovations of the Gas station audit requirements.smiling smiley Maybe an office can be set up in the vacant spot of the gas station lotgrinning smiley
Sojo917. I am quite willing to believe that Synergy is going to be the name for the fuels, because that is what was announced for Singapore. But that is a far cry from claiming that EM is about to change the name of the company to Synergy. Even your quote refers to ExxonMobil locations. Changing the advertising of the fuels has been done before, by ExxonMobil, by BP, and by many other oil companies. But that is not the same as changing the name of the company. Having a single global branding for fuels as versus the corporate name would be significant since restrictions dating back to the anti-trust break up of Standard Oil over a hundred years ago still restrict the use of the name "Esso" in the United States to certain states. Exxon was legal in all states, but the brand value of Esso was so high, that they kept it everywhere they could in the world. BTW, Exxon was Esso was Standard oil of NJ (which bought Humble Oil in 1959). Mobil was Socony Mobil was Socony was Standard Oil of New York, BP was Sohio (Standard Oil of Ohio) which BP merged with Amoco which was American Oil was "Standard" was Standard Oil of Indiana. Chevron was Calso was Standard Oil of California. And each of them had marketing rights to the name Standard Oil in certain states. Exxon tried using Enco in states where they could not use Esso, and even that was challenged in some states by Sohio and Kyso (Standard Oil of Kentucky) due to the similarity of the name when used in the traditional red oval sign.

Shopping Southeast Pennsylvania, Delaware above the canal, and South Jersey since 2008
As long as I get paid for my shops, they can call themselves "Grease Monkeys" or "Environment Killers" or whatever.
I did my first shop last week that had the new Synergy logos. The station was clearly identifiable as an M station with the M logo on the pump top and on the MID. The synergy logo was on the bottom of the pumps along with the synergy wing. I don't think the company is changing their name but rather launching a new promo identity.
So is this like Chevron with Techron or Dairy Queen and Brasier foods?
