Overnight Hotel

So I just completed my second overnight hotel shop. This one had a very detailed review (80 questions or so) on the room itself. Now, I used to work front desk, and that itself really put me off of ever wanting to stay at a hotel, even though I still do enough of it. But this inspection of the room makes me want to stay in hotels even less now. Lol.

That's pretty detailed. The ones I typically shop ask 15ish questions about the room.

It was very, very detailed. They even had me check to see how clean the carpet was, giving me very detailed directions on how to wet a washcloth, kneel with my back to the window, and perform ten swipes 12" in length back and forth. Then I had to review the washcloth from arm's length and decide if it was darker than a 5 o'clock shadow or not to determine whether or not it was too dirty. o_O

I was paid enough to clean that 12" strip of carpet. I wasn't paid enough to locate the dozen or so hairs on my bed.

In all reality, it had a $35 fee plus reimbursement for room, dinner and breakfast, plus my partner and I made a nice weekend of it. And I picked up a few other shops to make it more worth my while. smiling smiley

Wow! I am most definitely not signed up with this MSC! I've never seen the carpet swipe and would wonder what sort of 5 o'clock shadow they were referring to. At least it's not reimbursement only!!

I'm not sure....but if I compared it to my 5 o'clock shadow, someone would have had to have driven a car back and forth over the carpet repetitively for days. Lol
