In addition to Flash's comments, some of the newbies who begin by making such a post have gone on to become regular contributors who enhance the forums. Unlike the other forum sites, we prefer err on the side of not throwing out the baby with the bathwater.

That is correct vlade, the post can be easily ignored and I feel no inclination to respond to any poster who asks questions like described earlier. I guess that is ignoring it. However, new poster or not, I find it annoying that not the slightest bit of research has not been done prior to the asking. Even a new poster should understand the basic rules simply by reading through a few previous posts, especially on the new members section or perhaps by reading the agreement signed with a MSC.[/quot
That should be the norm, but it isn't. I don't remember when it became the norm to glom on to someone else to do your work, but I guarantee it was rampant in the mid 90's. I had a class & I deserved a solid F maybe a high D if that's possible, but ended up with a C because I did my own work. It helped that:
A. I did the work
B. I understood it.
C. Ethics & professionalism. I turned in someone else's paper that was 6 weeks overdue.
I couldn't pass an exam during that semester of my major to save my soul. The professor would pull me aside and ask 'what happens with you and exams?'. I'd shrug and say I don't know.
I agree that people need to put in the work. But in my experience most will do their best to get someone else to get it done.
I will admit I want to ask everyone on this forum how to get more shops. I don't, because those are the rules. I will continue to sign up with more companies and hopefully one day I'll be able to say...WhooHoo, this really is the best gig ever.
In the meantime, I'll read this forum so I can learn from the experts.
This is a newbie who tries to do her research. And a very thankful newbie for everyone who continually answer the same questions over and over again.

Good suggestions above. I never have liked doing the other guy's homework for him!
I do use the job board here (and on MSPA) for destinations.

Then how about a "traveling" thread instead?
