Big Lots Shop?

Has anyone preformed a MS for them? One appeared in my area and I'd like to know if it's a simple shop or complicated like Bed, Bath and Beyond.

I have and it is simple. You just have to carry a large item to see if you are offered a cart, ask where an item is, visit the restroom and make a small purchase noting the name and description of the cashier. From what I remember, the report was easy too. I would definitely do another one!
I did one last week and it was really straightforward. You have to wander the store for a certain amount of time, so you need to make sure you do that; you can't just run in and out. Be sure to remember the interactions you have, since you report if anyone you run into isn't in uniform or doesn't greet you, etc. I did this for the base pay and it was pretty reasonable.

I can do these almost blindfolded! Easy. Quick! Short report. $10 fee. $5 reimbursement. Stock up! smiling smiley
Isaiah - I'm sure you are signed up with the right MS. They probably just go quickly!

I have a B B& B five minutes from me, and I love the store! I'd do a shop there for $10 and a $5 purchase. But I haven't seen these come up in my area, either.... sad smiley

Big Lots shops are very popular and go fast in my area. They go so fast that I only see them a couple of times a year. Or maybe thats rotation. In any event, I grab them as soon as I see them.
Easy shop. I grab them when I see them but have not seen any on my job board for about 3 months.
Oh and I have never been offered a cart even when carrying the bulky item for 10 minutes. Has anyone been offered a cart or is it just me?

Nope, I haven't been offered one yet either.

Happily shopping the Pacific Northwest. Shopping since 2013 smiling smiley
The Big Lots store and the Bed, Bath, and Beyond near me are literally around the corner from each other. If I can ever grab them both, that would be ultra convenient and probably fun!

I did one a while back. Very easy. Now I only see grocery stores, the number fellows and an occasional fast food from that MSC. I don't know why I don't see a variety of shops from them. Does anyone else have that issue. I tried looking in another state and its about the same type of shops.
I had one over the summer. I carried around a $5 super pack of paper towels. Tried to use the restroom (part of the shop,) and asked for where a product was. The store they sent me to was a major fail on all counts. The report was easy to do.
I hate the BBB shops but love the Big Lots shops. BBB employees have been shopped so much they are on it and can spot a shopper from a mile away, especially with all of the stupid scenarios. The MSC that does them actually expects a little work from shoppers, LOL. Big Lots employees are not on to us yet, and the scenario is simple. The MSC who does the Big Lots shops has super easy reports, too. Much rather do Big Lots.
I have not seen a Big Lots shop in my area either. I live in Jacksonville, NC. I would love to get one of these though.
Years and years ago, one of my very first, if not the first, shop I had was there. It was nothing like it is today, though. I had never been there before, so it was fun.
I have seen the BBB shops. I know we can't say who does BL. But if BL is done buy the same company as BBB the Yes I am am register with the right company but just haven't see them. Unless BL is not shop in my area.
I remember a mystery shop company a while back that used to do a Hamburger place in my home town. I would grab them every chance they became open.. Even if I wasn't doing a shop I will still go on my dime because I love the food.

Anywho this mystery shopping company is not doing them in my area sad smiley. However they are doing them in other areas.

I am sad that they are no longer shop in my area sad smiley They do have good burgers smiling smiley
I have to learn what to buy at Big Lots. Most if the inexpensive stuff I purchased last time, two locations, was also inferior.

I bought character junky body wash for my kids. Toiletries are cheap there!

Never seen BBB offered in my New York area. I don't know if I'm not signed up with the right MSC or they just aren't offered here on Long Island. I would love to do a BBB shop. We do have the Big Lots shops offered here, and they are pretty easy. And I have NOT been offered assistance while carrying a bulky item, either. It would be nice, too, as it's not fun dragging that darned thing around.
Thanks all! I completed the shop. Yep, super easy! And no cart help for me either.
The hardest part is to find someone who works there to ask where an item is located. And, oddly enough, I have never been offered a cart for my large, bulky heavy item...
Since I've never done this shop but see it all the time, may I ask a couple of questions. Someone mentioned walking around with the bulky item for 10 minutes. Is that the required time that you have to carry this item around? Do you have to buy this item or after the allotted time can you just put it back? Do they have lightweight "bulky" items these days? Thanks!

You can put it down after 10 minutes. I chose a comforter set, so it wasn't terribly heavy. I think you have to stay a total of 15 minutes, so 5 more minutes and you are out of there. Make a small purchase and I think the reimbursement is $5, so I picked up some dog treats.

Thanks for the response! That would actually be the hardest part for me, depending upon what I would have to lug around.
Check the pet section, they have large but light pet beds.
