Slow Market Force Reporting Form

Is it my system or is the Market Force reporting system very very slow when reporting a golden arches shop? It takes me longer to enter my report than it does to actually do the shop. Just wondering if anybody else is having this same problem

Same here. I think I have seen several people complaining about that issue. Their website and form entry system has been slow since they changed their site earlier this year. I think the issue is across the board and not particular to any specific client. You may think it is worse with the shop you named, since there is a lot of conditional flags that come up in that form. It may take the system a little longer for all of those flags.

Also, you might want to make your description of the client a little more vague. You are pretty clearly linking an MSC to a client. This would be against your Independent Contractor Agreement with them and is not allowed by forum rules.

Mine was sloowwww to submit last night, lots of "buffering" since they were down the other day. Report went through but I was curious also.
I wish they would just put a few more questions on each page. If they would put all the questions that pertained to a complete subsection of the form on one page, it would be less processing and page loading and actually reduce the load on the server and the back end database.

I know MF will not read this, but who knows. Perhaps my suggestion will be forwarded from someone that works for them that reads the forum. It's wishful thinking.
Please put more questions on each page Marketforce. You expect an 8 hour reporting time so speed up your website - I am beyond frustrated.
I agree, the Market Force reporting system truly is slow. I've only been doing this for about 7 weeks and with 8-9 different companies, but have found MF to be one of the more cumbersome systems to work with. However, I appreciate that their surveys are fairly easy to complete and the shops I've completed have been quite simple. So I'll take the good with the bad on this.

I used to see a life coach pretty regularly.... back when they were called bartenders.

I wish I could like this twice!

The report has been very slow since they changed their system.

I have to leave an hour for the MF online report for an arches shop. It loads one question at a time and the fastest I've ever completed one, was in 46 mins.

Are you in dailup? I have my timings written down and it takes me less than 15 minutes to enter a FF shop if I don't stop for anything else.

No, I have high speed internet through my cable tv provider (Time Warner.) Ran three different speed tests - using different sites. They all came back as high speed on both download and upload.

MFs servers are unusually slow and reporting a shop is gruesome! The arches report loads one slow question at a time, with long blanks between questions. This problem is not replicated on any other MSC site. I even went so far as to run an indepth virus/malware scan on the pc (which takes up time when you're doing a large disc drive,) and the computer came up clean. It appears to be the MF server for some of us. It would be interesting to see if it's isolated to a specific geographic area. I'm in the Great Lakes Region.
You are not the only one. I was wondering the same thing! I do many of these and I just want to pull my hair out or slap my computer because I wasn't sure if it was me or them. That and the one question per page, thanks for posting this.
I am glad it is not just me! The sad part of this is the reporting takes 3-4 times longer than the actual shops do. They have been around a long time, but honestly I think they went from being a leader to being so behind the times. Although each page takes forever to save before you get to the next page, it would not be as bad if they asked you more than a few questions per page. And their "Flags" that you constantly miss because they do not come up prior to submission of the page instead of when you answer a question that then raises the flag. Just slows things down that much more. I have actually stopped taking jobs from them for now because of the amount of time the reports take, it ends up really not being worth it.
I don't take any for low pay rates anymore either. I just had one that the flag that got triggered would not accept the answers for the exceptions and it was in a loop. I spent 2½ hours trying to get it to take it. I sent 2 messages to them that night and finally the next day they said that they pushed it through. What a hassle!
I've only done one of those shops and I timed it for the sake of curiosity. Total time loading between pages was just shy of 12 minutes with the report taking almost 25 minutes total to complete. So I spent just as much time waiting for the website to load as I did actually reporting!
Tonight's piece of website joy was due to getting to enter the same piece of information twice. You put ABC in the first space, you put ABC in the second space. The form claims they are not a match. You notice that one field says ABC is 3 characters while the second ABC is 4 letters. You make sure you have no leading or following spaces and know that you have just been screwed because their counting device is off. That makes it Help Desk time. Another waste of a perfectly good evening.
The site has been slow since they made the changes. I have complained as have many others. They don't seem to care. I had one grocery shop today. While entering my report, I threw a burger on the grill. The burger was done before I was.
Sadly I don't think that I can deal with the MF website much longer. When it takes longer to load the pages then do the report - well they are really wasting our time and on top of that I need to worry about an 8 hour report time? I just need to back off from this MSC for awhile.

What are you going to do when you get those phone calls from that 925 area code?

You do believe "Jonny" lives in Oakland, CA when he calls you up with his very thick accent and offers you $8 for a job that is sitting on the board for $6 that used to pay $8 last year, right? winking smiley

How can you possibly turn him down? tongue sticking out smiley They are counting on you.

Their slowness reminds me of the old days of dial up. Not as slow, but it challenges my patience. I do the same thing I used to do. Multi task in between page changes. I open something in another tab, work on my spreadsheet, surf. . .
