USPS Shops

What do they entail? The MSC has some available in my area.

They are nice shops to pick up. Do not get overwhelmed with the paperwork at first because they are easy. Just be sure that you follow all directions. I find the directions pretty straight forward but you must follow them to a T. Just make sure you mail to the correct zones (they explain that in the paperwork) and do the correct scenario. I love these because you can send surprises to friends and family in the mail. I just make sure that their surprises are within the weight range. You really do not want to ship something too heavy because then you will be using your own money to make up the difference. Good luck. I have 3 of these this week with the new company and am actually looking forward to doing them. So I make a trip to Big Lots (a shop) pick up some cheap candy and mail it out.
teriraia! Thanks for the detail!

Can you PM me and tell me who the MSC is for Big Lots?

Mod note: It is against forum rules and an ICA violation to link a client with the MSC. Please do not ask another forum member to do this!

I did 4 of them on the same day when they first came out. They were pretty straight forward and easy to do. Basically you do the major stuff before you even start (packing a box). Just be careful of the weight, because they only allow 1/2 ounce overage before it goes to the next pound charge wise. The actual shop is really just observing things. I got lucky the day I did them, 3 of the 4 locations I walked into and there was no one in line, made it in and out in 3 minutes. Of course, the last one of the day was a busy location so I had a short wait. One VERY important thing though, that is only in your report is you need to get the zip code of the post office as it is engraved on the outside of the building. Good luck with them.
I use the shopit app on my phone to record the times. That way I am not obviously looking at my watch.
I use a Pebble Smart Watch with a lap timer app, it is great because I do not have to look at it, I just press the top button to start and the bottom button each time I want to stop one time point to start another and the top button when I am all done. Once I leave the location I can press the middle button to save the results, which is date stamped. When doing my reports I open the log and can see every time point, bot for that section as well as total running time to that section. It is so easy to do and no one ever knows I am pressing buttons.
