Reminds me of the time I had to argue with an editor about whether or not sangria did or did not count as a cocktail.

I used to do these shops with the previous provider. Shareable is an appetizer, not a side.
On the other hand, has anyone had issues trying to schedule yourself for these shops? They turn up in my e-mail, I go and try to schedule them and they show no dates available at all. I know I am eligible for them but I just don't see dates, regardless of what store I pick. And their scheduler is terrible at replying to e-mails (I asked on 11/22 for one on 11/25, and got a reply at 4am on 11/25 asking me if I was still willing to do it. I replied at 8am and never heard back form them).

It depends on the purpose of the shop. For an upsell, a sangria is not a great choice. If you just need a drink at the bar, it's ok.

False. Drinking sangria is never ok. Well, maybe to induce vomiting.

Fight me IRL.
The whole point is not to waste good wine on it though. It originated in regions that typically have a surplus of middling wine that might not last through the summer season, especially not without modern temperature or humidity control. Dump it in a pitcher with some fruit juice and brandy.@pinchers81 wrote:

Lol!!! I've always seen sangria as a waste of good wine. If the wine is worth drinking to begin with, why bastardize it with fruit juice and sugar? I guess I've never had a good one. I definitely appreciate your fervor, though.
