Have they shown up at another company yet please?

It would appear that they are NOT going to show up at another company. The client has discontinued their mystery shopping program.
Don't expect them. Word is they are opting for customer surveys on receipts for the time being. My guess, if they decide to return to mystery shopping, it will be a while. They will have to run the surveys for a while to determine whether the information provided is useful or not.

I just got an email from a different MSC about these. While I never took one of these shops in the past, I kinda got the gist of them by reading through the boards here. The one being scheduled now is slightly different as it focuses on kids meals and prizes. (Hope that didn't violate an ICA)

I used to see a life coach pretty regularly.... back when they were called bartenders.
Kimrod, the shops you are describing are not new. And they have nothing to do with the main shopping program, which has been cancelled. Sorry to disappoint others. But the Golden Arches shops, for which many of us enjoyed great bonuses, are gone!

I'm sure there will continue to be other shops at McDonald's. Keep in mind businesses are shopped for a variety of reasons and by a variety of entities including vendors and competitors.

Thanks for that heads up. I had never received an email for that shop before and thought it was odd after all the hullabaloo about the original program going away. Sorry if I got anyone's hopes up.

The shops to look at and collect advertising materials have been going on for years. They had nothing to do with the ongoing program and were always run by a different MSC. Timing is irrelevant, just ordering exactly the right things to trigger getting the right stuff inside and out. I have done some in the past and often had problems getting an Under 3 Toy, but that is presumably part of what they want to know. While I said timing is irrelevant, these are sometimes breakfast only shops, sometimes lunch only, sometimes dinner only but usually with 2 to 3 hour windows. The current one is after 11 AM. I would feel odd ordering a Mighty Kid meal for myself to eat inside, but I have done it before. No one has ever asked me to produce a kid (no, you can't bring a kid or anyone else along).

These shops have been around for ages and I have never taken one although I used to do the regular shops with the big MSC. I find it hard to understand why anyone takes these. We hear so many complaints about how low-paying the original shops (that are now gone) were. These pay LESS. We hear complaints about having to do both an inside-counter and a drive-thru shop. These require both. We hear complaints about the short list of choices. These shops don't have a short list of choices - they tell you exactly what to order. And, reading the required order, I'm usually thinking "Who wants that?"

But, for years - these shops have been grabbed like hotcakes. Maybe I've missed it, but I've never seen repeat e-mails begging for the shops to be taken or bonuses. It amazes me.
I suppose we can guess that the service and quality from this MSed company will go down the tubes as well.
You mean they had good service and quality while they were being shopped?winking smiley

If it's the msc I think, I did a few monopoly themed ones. I recieved the reimbursement pay off them, but not the actual piddly shop fee.
there is another MSC that does limited locations and has a different requirement..you must order exact items--no choice..more limited time frame...and this time is only happy meals..so you go in without a kid and order a happy meal...i didn't real the whole thing to see if you are supposed to eat it...i think you have to get milk with it...if i did this, i would want to be able to go right home and store the milk so I don't waste it...or at least if it were tomorrow a simple lunch bag with an ice pack would keep it cool all day--even running the heat in the car as it will be about 0 degrees
