I see the pay has gone to $40 and the income requirement has dropped to $30,000.
The ones around me have just sat there the whole time.
I'm having deja vu.

Same title for sure, and I think the same content as as your other post. But, this time, I get to say "Its déjà vu all over again!"

I think what happened is that the threads got combined by the moderators. But I was hoping for a moment that @dkpskipper was having some fun with us by posting that again on this thread.

Yeah, that's what I was hoping too.

With the ever decreasing income requirement, pretty soon the guy that lives in the dumpster next door will be eligible to do this shop. Of course, from the reaction from shoppers here to this offer, he may be the only one who might do it.
So,...the question is...how do they know you make $30,000 a year? Do you have to scan and submit paycheck stubs? smiling smiley
I might pick one up if the date can be extended. I'll be on my way home from a two week route shop. Would give me a room for the night, so why not do the audit at the same time. Another perk, the particular location has wired high speed internet in each room, which would help with uploading videos.

If you consider it a $20 to $40 discount on a room it probably makes sense as long as you can't find a cheaper place to stay without any work involved. OTOH, if you can find a regular hotel shop it would reimburse the full amount of the room with a lot less time invested.

This shop is not offering a free hotel room. Just a small fee to do a long audit. Then you leave.

Myst4au, I fully understand the terms of the audit. I have contacted the MSC to see if booking a room at the location on my own dime would be allowed, and am waiting to hear back. The location is a convenient stopping point for the day, as well as a convenient starting point for the two shops I have to complete the next day on my way home.

It's basically killing two birds with one stone or, as LisaSTL said, "If you consider it a $20 to $40 discount on a room it probably makes sense as long as you can't find a cheaper place to stay without any work involved." I was unable to find any hotel shops where I could get a free room.

Since my calendar is completely empty tomorrow, I decided to accept the $40 shop. I haven't confirmed it yet, I want to take one more look through on the paperwork. How will I spend my time if I decide not to do the audit? Cleaning, laundry, napping, fluff the cats, etc. Dkpskippers comment concerns me, and i have read alot about this 2 hour audit on here already. Someone said it took more than 2 hours? Were there issues with uploading the photos? I will search on here a bit more but will appreciate your input. Should i stay home and fluff the cats or spend 2+ hours taking photos?

I haven't done this shop, so I can't say. but based on what I've read on here and what I saw in the shop listing, I'd fluff the cats....

Yep, I just got done reading another thread and agree. Plus I even read my own comment from last week saying that it sounded like an $80 shop. And now that I understand that you have to take a picture of everything that is non compliant and many people are saying that the hotel has not been renovated and therefore, everything is non compliant. That's why is requiring so many photos, more than what they say in the guidelines. I'm going to stay home and fluff the cats. winking smiley
it got double posted because my phone apparently is not only smarter than me, but moves quicker then me. Sorry!
I am going to fluff my cats. I love cats but I actually don't have one, so I will fluff my pillows instead.
The new e-mail trumpets "Hotel Audits now with $20 BONUS!!!!" I'm thinking...OK, last e-mail they were $40...$20 bonus is getting to a point where I'll actually consider doing the SEVEN of these within easy
distance.

OOOPS. The $20 bonus is on the original $20 fee....so it's STILL only $40!!!!

Bad company, bad boy, down boy, BAD BOY.

Misleading.

I have three dogs with fluffy fur. So, I'll fluff them instead of doing that shop....

Make it $100 and I might consider doing the shop. smiling smiley
I love cats but their dander makes me break out in hives and I sneeze and itch.

I actually signed up to do two of them @ $40. I made the required phone call to let the hotel know I would be visiting...and got BLASTED by the manager of the hotel, screaming that he needed more than 20 minutes warning, yadda yadda. I contacted the MSC and was told to postpone, The second hotel, pretty much the same thing so I pushed back that one back as well. Then we got the snowstorm and I had to cancel out on both. I didn't get a Flake for canceling so I could grab them again, but that price is gonna have to at least double before I'd endure what I'm almost positive would be a long and hostile 2+ hours. Matter of fact, I'm going to need a Benjamin per. :-)

I got bit on this one. The 15 required pics turned out to be 65. how long does it take to resize 65 pics down to one mb?
You should be able to resize all of them at once, very quickly. You'll need a program that does bulk resizing.
