This is disturbing, but I see many base-rate shops being snapped up. Since the closest one to me is 45 miles away, I cannot take base rate shops. I have to wait for or negotiate bonuses. But nothing -- I mean NOTHING -- is hanging around long enough to get bonussed. MSPA job board shows only 6 shops in my state for this entire month.

Time for me to relocate where I can get 60 shops within 25 miles.

Purchase and return for a whopping $6! Yes you read that right.

That's almost enough for a gallon of milk and a loaf of bread! tongue sticking out smiley
Here you could buy four gallons of gas and get 80 cents in change.

Oh I forget they think our gas to get there is now so cheap that the shop price can be reduced.
The fee has gone down? I thought it was always that meager. It was certainly never high enough to get me to give it a second look.

I have plenty of shops in New England, some are as close as a half mile from my house. I still won't do a shop for under $10. I have noticed several shops that the fee has been lowered. Don't you think that the newbies are taking the low price shops? When I first started I took all shops at any price for the experience. You learn really fast what to shop and what not to shop.
There almost always is an influx of new shoppers around Christmas or shortly after when the credit card bills start showing up. I decide what to take on the potential hourly income so gas doesn't figure into the equation all that much. It will still take me 30 minutes to drive 30 miles.

I had to laugh out LOUD at that comment. smiling smiley
But you get to buy something at $15 value and are reimbursed for it. So, it's a $21 shop. I always want or need something from Pier 1
Imported all of it... you go for it....
I do not consider a cheap piece of stuff a reimbursement.

Reimbursement adding value to a shop is in the eye of the beholder. Some folks find $5 worth of fast food and a $5 shop fee to provide $10 in value. I'm not one of those people.
