AT&T Audits

Has anyone seen any of these lately? I think the original MSP lost the contract and I haven't seen them pop up anywhere else so far.

I actually have one scheduled for this week. The scheduler called me late this afternoon with a small bonus.

Some days you just have to create your own sunshine.
I used to do those for the same company that audits an electronics retailer, but it must be a different MSC now. Can somebody give us a clue where to look?

Mod note: It is against forum rules and an ICA violation to link the client with the MSC. Please do not ask other forum members to do this.
I'm surprised to read someone has an audit scheduled. I have not heard of the audits with any other MSCs. There are a still a lot of mystery shops posted with a different company.

I've seen various "mystery shops" posted here and there, but those tend to be kinda awful and not worth the time. The audits were great. Maybe they just stopped doing them. I haven't found hide nor hair of them anywhere.
I haven't seen the audits since last summer. The Verizon audits disappeared, too. They were so easy to do and the report didn't take much time to complete. I loved those audits! I've done several AT&T mystery shops and while the pay might not seem like much compensation, the report is such a breeze to complete that it makes the job totally worthwhile.
The Field Agent app had AT & T audits a few weeks ago. They were too much work for the money so I passed on them. Checking handsets, signing, uniforms, etc. It was a secret shop. It sat forever at $6.
There's a company offering AT&T audits right now in my area for $26....don't know if they're the same ones. They are revealed, meet with a manager, look at the software on the employees computers, check out the phones for sale, etc etc. I thought about trying one, but I'm not sure I would feel comfortable with all that.
I'm totally comfortable with the announced audits preferring them to mystery shops any day. Look at it this way, you gather all the information on site so nothing to remember. Some of the audit reports can also be completed or close to completed before you even leave the store so no long narratives at home later.

I took one to see what it's like. Paperwork won't be available for another week so I can't say how involved it is. I do like revealed audits as well, but only if they don't ask for blood.

They sounded very similar to the audits the old MSC had. I liked those, so I decided to take a few, but after I assigned two, the rest disappeared.

LisaSTL,
Can I ask you, how do the manager(s)/employees feel about you looking at the software on their work stations??? That's the one thing I was a bit leery about...not knowing if they would resent it or not. Thanks in advance!
It's been a long time since I've done cell phone audits. From what I recall it was always fine. They should be notified in advance to expect an audit during a certain time frame. Either monthly or quarterly for most businesses. After eight years my guess would be I've completed somewhere around a thousand or more audits for darn near every type of business. I recall being turned down once and having just a handful be hesitant. Maybe two of those actually called the phone number on the paperwork, otherwise I was able to ease their mind somehow. There were a few of these posted for my area yesterday, and they flew off the board within minutes.
I last did those AT&T Authorized Retailer audits in January for the regular MSC (the one with the Big Box electronic audits). They normally are quarterly and so I would not expect to see them back until April. I would wait until the first of April to know for sure if anything has changed.

It is absolutely retarded that we are expected to talk in circles so that nobody says who we are talking about when somebody wants information. This web site is useless.
A failure and waste of time.

What 45 year old would use such a horrible word as retarded? And what professional would come to a free forum and get pissy just because the guy who pays for it has one simple rule?

Hmmm, never saw anything in my area. Was it a new MSC?
Off topic, but LisaSTL, how do you know a poster's age? Did you just throw a dart and land on 45? I'm not feeling so anonymous any more!
Signed, not EmmaRed, someone else smiling smiley
In addition to Lisa's omniscience, the age was posted in a recent thread by the poster.
Has anyone done one of the $26 AT&T revealed audits yet? If so, how did it go? Thanks!
No more calls, we have a winnersmiling smiley

I found the $26 audits and took two of them. They are the AT&T Authorized Retailers (same as the other MSC). They are scheduled for April so I am now wondering if they are the same ones with updated instructions. Only thing is that the new large MSC does not use a phone app so they will have to be done the old school way (take pictures with phone and upload to report with the computer) instead of having the report done when leave the store. Since it will take longer, I am glad it is paying the extra $11. The website only let me take 2 so that seems to be the limit. I don't know if that is 2 for all month or if that is 2 outstanding. I cannot see the guidelines yet as it says that the paperwork is not available until March 31.

To drop another hint (without violating ICA)... sometimes it's best to look in the most obvious place.

Grabbed two of these for April. Should be interesting. Based on how the new MSC describes it, it's a bit more involved than the old audits.

Oh, and I got hit with the same two location limitation. Hopefully that gets lifted at some point as this program matures. There were *way* too many routes where you could bang out 6-8 of them in a day without stopping after submitting 2 to assign more.. LOL.

Somewhere in the Midwest, shopping / auditing full time since 2014. Will use PV-500 for food! smiling smiley
