Mystery Shop and Audit

Has anyone else noticed that many companies are combining mystery shops with audits? I recently had to cancel two Marketforce shops because I realized there was a revealed audit after a mystery shop, all for only $9! That's not enough $$ to make it worth my time, not to mention I live in a small town and would have to blow my cover, jeopardizing any shops I wanted to do there in the future. I also conducted a wireless shop where I had to take pictures of every single phone that was on display, and determine how many were live and had access to the internet. There's no way the salesman didn't recognize me as a shopper. I spent a good 20 minutes there 'deciding' which phone would be best for me. It was tedious and frustrating. The audit should be separate from the mystery shop. Had I known it was going to be such a pain I wouldn't have accepted it,

Will I get dinged? I accepted 3 before realizing. I don't too much care for a reveal, but I like MF and I don't want to be deactivated.
There is another thread regarding the new MF shops. Lots of shoppers have cancelled because they say the audit portion wasn't mentioned until they had accepted the shop. Just relaying what I've read. I myself avoid the gas station shops.

That's not quite correct. The audit portion is mentioned but it is on the second screen after you click on the shop but it is before you accept it. However, it is still misleading for many of us who completed this shop in the past with the same compensation but without the audit portion. You have to carefully read the description before accepting the shop.

Thanks for the clarification kenasch - that makes more sense. I don't do those shops and was merely reiterating what I had read on the forum.
i've always been surprised buy how easy the marketforce gas station shops are compared to the other companies, doesn't surprise me that they're doing the audits now like everyone else.
They have done the audit longer than they have done the pure mystery shops. I have done them for years. I accidentally took several of the new audits, thinking they were the mystery ones like many others have. After debating a while, I decided to do the ones I had scheduled, and no more. Turns out they are still extra work, but they are not as bad as they were in the past. There are fewer photos required than past audits, and my prior experience makes them go pretty quickly. You can bet I will be much more diligent about reading the description before I self assign these in the future.
I called Marketforce once I realized it involved a revealed audit. They told me to go ahead and cancel them if I wasn't comfortable. I feel bad canceling, but they didn't seem to care.
