Interaction with escort on post security airport shops

Can anyone explain how the escort gets me through security on a post security airport shop? If I have more than one location on a route, does the escort wait for me? My guidelines don't mention anything about how I will Interact with the escort other than our meeting place and time. Any help with this would be appreciated.

They usually meet you, confirm your identity, allow you access and then you're Scot-free. If you have multiple shops, you may wish to confirm that you do not have to exit the terminal and have to clear security to enter another terminal (if that's where your other shop(s) are (if the airport has multiple terminals).
Not exactly "scot-free". In my experience with an airport escort, they must keep you in (visual) sight at all times.
Edited to add: Which means they follow you everywhere you go.

I am badged now, but in the past I was escorted into the terminal only. I was never followed.
Never experienced this. It would have taken a bit of resources after a two hour dinner.

I'm sure every airport, MSC and actual shop differs. Just saying in my experience.
In my experience, the escort kept me in view the entire time. Sometimes, for hours.
I have badges or tickets everywhere now. I haven't needed an escort in at least 10 years.

A LOT has changed in the past 10 years in the world of airports and air travel.
The badges come from the Mystery Shopping company who shops the airport. I can not give you any more information.
Badges are issued by the airport, following federal guidelines, upon sponsorship of a firm with official business at the airport. Badges require finger printing, background checks, training and exam, and fees which vary by airport. For information on the badging process, visit the airport's website and search for badging. Don't worry about the training it is rather low level.

The key - besides not being an ax murderer - is having an MSC which not only has an established relationship with the airport but which also wishes to have you credentialed.
The last time I did one of these, the head of security talked to me in an office for a little while, but it was very informal. Then they turned me loose and let me run all around the place without being followed. The toughest thing about it was that when I was done, I had to go give my pass back and that's when they pumped me for information, wanting to know how they did. I said about three times that I couldn't disclose anything about the shop! Then I asked them to validate my parking and they took the hint and let me leave. Lol...

I have current badges. My point was that I haven't had an escort at an airport in 10 years. I have 10 flights in the next 60 days, so far.

For the airport shops I do in Chicago, the MSC let us know they needed shoppers and they would help us getting badged. Upon letting them know I was interested, they gave me a link to the Chicago Aviation website where I had to fill out an initial application. From there, the MSC signed off on the paperwork and instructed me to get to the airport where I'd have to meet up with the sponsoring firm. Once they signed off on my paperwork, I went to the badging office. First I got fingerprinted and my picture, and after my background check, I got my badge. All I do now is go through the "employee" line, swipe my badge and verify my thumbprint, go through security, then off to do my shops.

Oh yea, it was easier getting my badge at the 2nd airport since the Aviation folks already had my fingerprints.

So far I've only had good experiences with these shops and I have two rounds coming up over the next couple of weeks.....

Silver certified (since 2009) and willing to do shops all around the greater Chicago, NW Indiana, and Southern Wisconsin areas (including airports!.
My local airport isn't as busy as it used to be, but there are still several shops that pop up. If I'm interested in getting badged, would you suggest talking to one of the MSCs and see if they'll sponsor me?
