Full Time Mystery Shopping

From that list it looks like Trend Source is the best. Getting two pay periods in a month is nice. I'm doing shops now and at least I can expect my funds next week and not in month or two.

It can be good for starting out if you need some money quicker. Keep in mind, the companies paying the fastest often pay the least. The faster pay is their only appeal.

Equal rights for others does not mean fewer rights for you. It's not pie.

Never try to teach a pig to sing. It's a waste of your time and it really annoys the pig.
Yes, Bestmark pays bi-weekly and I think it is still by check. Stericycle Expert Solutions is a weekly payer via direct deposit. There is still some lag depending on when you do the shops and when they are edited.

Oh nice! I am actually working on an assignment for Bestmark. Good to know. Yes, TS does have low pay but I love getting my groceries! smiling smiley
Yes, Bestmark still pays by check. Thanks to them I haven't had to pay for an oil change or tire rotation in 4 years. Now if only I would actually SAVE the money I save....

It's not only about make and model, but about mileage...my hubby's Chevy has too many miles and my car make/model doesn't qualify.
with the price of gas, driving, performing the job, waiting around for calls, or, on the job.. the time to write up reports, u/l photos, printing out instructions, ink, etc.. personally, no, i don't think so. You're always seeming to have to lay out cash, it can take up to 2 months to receive, IF, they decide your report IS GOOD ENOUGH to accept.. no, I don't think so..
In order to do this full time you need to have a solid base of doing several shops of many kinds. You need to be signed up for IMHO 200 plus MSPS. You also need a credit card with $2000 in available credit. This gives you outlay well you build up a shopping fund. Most likely you will also need to be able and willing to travel minimally within a 200 mile radius of your home. Oh and as a full time sole income as mystery shopper you need to understand this is your own business and should run it as such. As a Business owner I am always thinking about my business. Does not mean I don't have down time or free time just that it is always on your mind.

Shopping Western NY, Northeast and Central PA, and parts of Ohio and West Virginia. Have car will travel anywhere if the monies right.
Buffalo,
Over on the New Mystery shoppers area of the forum, there is a post from a relatively new MSer who is demonstrating that a large cash/credit reserve is much less important if you plan carefully for relatively high fee shops with no cash outlay. There are definitely many roads to full time MSing.

Based in MD, near DC
Shopping from the Carolinas to New York
Have video cam; will travel

Poor customer service? Don't get mad; get video.
It depends on where you live though...it's hard for some people to find only shops that don't require upfront expenditures without traveling a good distance from home.
In response to walesmaven:
Well it may be possible to do without the large cash/credit reserve I find for a relatively new shopper wanting to do this full time it makes it a hell of a lot easier. I admit my amount may have been high maybe $500 reserve is more realistic.

I am not full time, but I shop a great deal. One way I find shops is on with website Jobslinger.
It is rather easy to Mystery Shop Full time when your are retired and have other income. After 8 years of mystery shopping the answer to the question,"can YOU maintain your lifestyle working ONLY mystery shopping assignments?" It is impossible to answer

So much goes into the material and circumstances you have to work with. You can have a perfectly good income for your lifestyle if you are a college student or senior who lives on Ramen noodles and Mac and cheese and are subsidized by social survival, I mean social security payments or a full scholarship.

I myself have fantasized about doing hotel shops and cruises end to end but that would involve all the rocks in the brook you are trying to cross without getting your feet wet to be there. When I do Routes they are carefully created but I get my feet wet hopping from rock to rock The total trip minus one or two segments Still makes the effort profitable. I have never been able to create back to back routes in 8 years..

Mystery shopping requires you to perform. When you stop because of illness or fatigue your business stops. . The only thing you can be full time is an entrepreneur. or investor..Whey you stop your managers or investments perform for you.
i shop full time, but the business is not what it used to be ... I made a lot more 15 years ago
