I've taken a few of these in the past years. I enjoyed them, and though they are not without requirements and some effort, they are not overly difficult or time consuming. On a hot summer day, you get thirsty walking around a park, and those drinks do add up. The park has a free map for guests. I have a seat in the shade, and locate my 4 or 5 shop locations and circle them, and then figure out which attractions in each area I want to hit. By making a plan I am able to enjoy myself between shops and enjoy what will be "free" drinks once I'm reimbursed. A backpack is a hands-free way to keep up with paperwork and prizes, and car keys, cell phones too. No, there is no profit for these assignments, but there is most definitely a benefit for those who plan to spend a day at the park anyway.

Editing because I realized I stated "no profit". In fact these do pay $5 per location, but I consider that my gas/mileage reimbursement so no real profit to me. Still, a benefit.

There are companies now asking you to "deposit the full price of a ticket which will be refunded after you perform this shop up to their standards". Interesting, makes me want send them $105 USD for one ticket plus another $20 for parking. If the shopper fumbles the shop their only out $125 plus their time, "Most Sought After Assignments for 2016", NOT!
HORRIBLE HORRIBLE Company. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME. THEY REFUSE TO PAY YOU. Once you sign up for a shop, they non- stop call, text, and e-mail you. You can't have another job or other obligations because you need to be able to answer asap or they will remove you from the shop, without pay. I completed a mystery shop last Saturday and completed all of the necessary steps they asked for. By the way, there are so many, you can't really enjoy your time there. I completed the whole assessment on Sunday and Monday. The assessments are due the next day, so you really can't do anything except the assignment and the assessment for 2 whole days. The assessment takes about 8 hours. On Tuesday, I relieved a call and I called back Thursday because I had been busy with work. At that time, they removed me from the assignment and said they won't pay me. WASTE OF TIME!! For the assessment you have to have all the names of employees, times, descriptions, features of everything and more and if your off just a little (even to the minute), they won't pay you. Also, if you don't call them back the day they called you, they won't pay you. I don't believe this is fair because of how much time I spent on the assessment. THIS COMPANY IS A JOKE. THEY CAN'T JUST NOT PAY YOU WHEN YOU WORKED FOR THEM AND SPENT OVER 24 HOURS DOING THE ASSIGNMENT AND ASSESSMENT. JUST HORRIBLE!!

Seriously, please stop yelling at us and stop posting the same thing over and over again. It gets old fast.

thats happened twice today to me. does forum owner know there;s a prob?
Ahazl: they are on a time constraint as well and cannot wait for you to return their urgent calls whenever you feel like it. If you were waiting days in between, then they are correct for not paying you for the shop (if, in fact, it was not done correctly and you didn't return their urgent calls).

The majority of Mystery Shoppers are probably not in the demographics where they need free Amusement Park tickets because their trying to make extra cash to pay their bills or provide a nice monthly buffer to their expenses. Why do you think I put up the original thread, my former employer gets the tickets up to 60% off allowing me to enjoy a wonderful day with a friend and her kids instead of fighting theme-park long lines and the heat.

Someone needs to post some Forum Rules that will save Shoppers money they can't afford to lose regarding accepting jobs you can't afford to lose. If spending $150 on sporting events tickets will badly cripple you when your credit card bill comes do not take on those jobs. Some Shoppers have no business eating at Five Star places where the bill will run $300 plus unless they were use to the kind of food and service during their previous life. I apologize you lost your money but what can anyone do if you were warned these kind of jobs require extensive details, require you to be at their call if need be for more questions and there is the slight chance the MSC and client can reject your report.
