according to the MSC, I make at least 100k/year as a small business owner

i already deleted the email and don't remember the company..

but they INSIST they checked my profile and I DO QUALIFY for this shop to inquire about a small business account for a business earning 100k-250k, per year....trust me, I don't make nearly that much even including reimbursements..

Maybe they just want you to roleplay, maybe?

Shopping the Greater Denver Area, Colorado Springs and in-between in Colorado. 33 year old male and willing to travel!
I'm pretty sure I've used the letter "K" at least a hundred times in my reports this year alone. That should definitely qualify me!
Considering that annual income is a demographic, not prying into your personal affairs, giving a BS answer will get you BS shops. When a client's target population is 40-60, some college, $40k-$60k per year you are not going to be eligible for the shop if you mark the lowest amount in the drop down, even if you meet the other criteria.

There is no future in lying on your profile, whether is your DOB or other demographics or SSN. If the MSC has reason to distrust your truthfulness there, they certainly won't trust your truthfulness with reports. They may keep you around as 'cannon fodder' to throw at some report that doesn't matter, they may even let you self select your own 'cannon fodder' jobs, but they won't trust you where it matters.

It sounds like the MSC is saying that you are qualified for a shop that requires you to ask about small business loans. The MSC wouldn't have any way of knowing what your real income is. To do the shop, you don't need to be making 250K, but you need to be convincing when inquiring about a loan for $250K. Earlier this year, I had to say that I was thinking of transferring an estate trust (over $250K) to the bank I was shopping. Do I have a trust that's worth $250K? No, I do not. But I can talk a good game. The MSC thinks you can, too.

As @Bubbabubba said above, this is an acting job. The MSC wants you to play the role of a small business owner inquiring about a loan.

I've been confused by the OP. I've done some business account inquiries for different companies. My scenarios had my businesses grossing anywhere from $250,000 to almost 2 million a year. Obviously my profile doesn't state I make 250K plus.

There are plenty of other things in our profiles the MSC could use to decide we could pull off the scenario such as possibly age. Or they are looking at the whole of our shops completed and seeing equally complex assignments performed well.

The email specifically said that I must actually earn a high amount to do the shop..i remember seeing them before and discussion on how ludicrous it was to expect people earning that much in business to take a low paying shop..but now they are claiming I should do the shop.....before at least they weren't telling me I was qualified.... when I wasn't....there may be other shops where you can pretend to be rich

Kind of like that hotel audit for $20 where they wanted the auditor to make 70000 a year?

Shopping across Indiana but mostly around Indianapolis.
