Anyone know why some clients use multiple MSCs?

I know some clients utilize multiple MSCs, but what is the reasoning behind that?

For example, Best Buy hires lots of MSCs to do their shops. The same with Home Depot and others. Why?

Lots of reasons.... Different scopes, size of workload where the MSC cannot handle the amount required or the MSC doesn't have the staffing to cover the project without needing to expand, the client prefers to spread the risk, etc.

Shopping the Greater Denver Area, Colorado Springs and in-between in Colorado. 33 year old male and willing to travel!
Some of the shops could be competitor shops also. Also while the company shops itself, there may also be vendors who check on how their product is promoted.
Papa John's uses two MSCs with the exact same requirements.

BofA has one MSC for account openings and inquiries, 2 for audits.

Don't get me started on cell companies.

Besides the 5 hour audits I don't believe Best Buy is the client for any of the shops located there.

Other than Papa Johns the most common reason is a franchisee wanting to get a test of how they are doing beforenthe franchisors shop comes.

Agree with bgriffin. I am always at a BB for one reason or another. In the past several years, none of my many shops have been for BB. There have been specific vendor shops and competitive shops among a wide variety of others.
There's a number of reasons why a company would want to hire multiple MSCs. Some like to test out which companies are giving them the best reports, some just like to think they're getting a better spread of random people rather then the same two people every other month from one company, some want certain tasks performed that they feel certain MSCs have independent contractors that are better prepared to handle then others....it all depends
Best buy except for their 5 hour audit and there 2 department shops it is always a vendor shop that is doing the shop.
I think Papa Johns is trying to be with every MSP as I can count 10 that it has been and may still be with. I know of at least 3 who currently have them.
Another reason not mentioned is a client may be shopping for a better contract or trying out a msp.

Shopping Western NY, Northeast and Central PA, and parts of Ohio and West Virginia. Have car will travel anywhere if the monies right.

I imagine that the shopping of the online order/pick up system must be done by BB itself.
probably but it does not help

Years ago, ok eons ago I worked for the Holly corporation, but I worked inside of Kmart. I was a travel consultant for years and my company leased space in a department store.

There may be different companies involved under one roof.
