Sorry, I did not disappear into the woodwork, just been busy and was not receiving messages about replies to my post.

Beadzoo, I am just now reading this thread and I for one, like Birdy and a few others am scratching my head as to why so many other posters just seemed to assume you wrote your entire story in the post. For me I was thinking you just wrote enough to point out to us the part where you thought the editor stopped reading or stopped comprehending. Without reading your whole report there was no way for any of us to determine you did not get out of the truck. Anyway, I am glad to hear they are reconsidering.
I fall into the same error it seems like you did and just think my report is okay if I hear nothing and do not keep checking the website. All my companies will send an email if there is an issue. I am surprised this one did not.
I did not think the entire summary of visit was relevant. I edited out any identifying information and posted the entire narrative of the report.

I told “Sam” I need to store the contents of a two – bedroom apartment. He asked if both were being used as bedrooms and what other furniture I had. I replied, “Yes, I have queen sized beds, one triple dresser, a regular sized dresser, a chest of drawers, three nightstands an oversized sofa, a Lazy Boy, two end tables, coffee table and a wall TV.” “Sam” then asked if I needed to store anything from the kitchen, I said, “Thanks, yes, I have a dining room table and chairs.” Then he asked if I had any other furniture and if I had any boxes or crates and how many. I thought for a moment then added, “A desk with an executive office chair and two bookcases, no boxes yet.” He wanted to know the dimensions of the bookcases, using my hands, I showed the approximate dimensions of each bookcase. He originally thought I would be able to get my belongings in a 10’x15’ unit, “But it might be tight,” especially after I added the bookcases and undetermined amount of boxes. He searched the computer available 10’x15’ and 10’x20’ units and found them in the same building. “Sam” asked if I would like to follow him to the building in my car or ride with him in his truck. Once in the truck, “Sam” formally introduced himself and shook my hand. I opted for his truck, it was closer than my car in the pouring rain. He opened the doors to the units while I stayed dry in his truck. In the 10'x20' “Sam” asked if I knew how long my sofa was and if I thought it would fit across the back of the unit. I replied, "The armrests are what makes oversized. They are stuffed and roll to the outside, so it is very difficult to measure," he understood.

“Sam” asked, “Would you like to rent a space today, “When are you looking to move?” I replied, “Two, maybe three weeks.” He did not ask how long I would need the unit for. I told “Sam” I need to think about it, he was not pushy or try to hard-sell me into renting today, he said, “Not a problem, come back when you are ready and we’ll get you set up.” Neither “Sue” nor “Sam” mentioned any specific promotion that “XYZ Storage” was currently running, they did however list possible promotions that are available, such as: 1/2 off first month’s rent, the first month free and 10% off rate month to month for as long as you keep renting - no contract. I was told by “Sam”, that they would not know until the contract which promotion I would be eligible for until I signed the contract and "If you sign the papers on the 4th, your rent will be due on the 4th of every month."

“Sam” received a phone call from “Bob”, his boss, right after we returned looking at the 10'x15' and 10'x20' units, so “Sue” took over for him. She asked if “Sam” went over the insurance information with me, what unit I was shown and went over that information with me again.

I asked if there was a resident manager, “Sam” said, “Yes, that would be me.” I asked if I could use the restroom. It was clean, neat, and well stocked with needed supplies. He came out from behind the desk and held the door open for me as I left.

Clearly, I got out the truck, should I have used the word 'Inside' instead of 'In', would it have made a difference? I also mentioned I opted to ride in his truck because of the pouring rain, it was closer than my car. I did not mention that he had an umbrella. It was small, had I have stood under it with him while he unlocked the units, we both would have been soaked. I did not mention the umbrella because I did not want him to be marked down for not sharing, especially since I would not have used it, I am not sugar and will not melt.
