My Last Orkin Phone Shop!

I was assigned two Orkin shops which I performed on Friday. I was disconnected half way through the second shop. I called the scheduler and he stated I should call again which took a lot more time than I intended for $5.00. I submitted both shops and I would love to know who the proofreader was, but he/she sent both reports back requesting more information in the narrative which I had already noted in the above questions. One of the requests was, "Describe play by play the format of the 2nd call." I kept my notes, but how in the hX#l could I remember a "play by play" format that I did on Friday?! After rewriting narratives from both shops, I forgot to add the address and zip code that I provided to the representative which was requested as well. (Even though it was spelled out in the questions above the narrative in the report). I cannot even tell you how long I spent on these two shops at $5.00 each. I have done these before with no problem. Now, my average score of "10" will decrease to a "9" I am sure. All over two freaking phone shops! To make matters worse, Orkin representatives are calling me several times a day! Stay away from these shops!

The phone shops are usually more trouble than they are worth. That working from home lure lol.

The proofreader should proofread his/her own replies. He/she stated, "Your report has been finalized. A score of 8 has been given because we had to contact you. Thank you for making the requested updates", yet I was given a score of a "10"! Go figure.

Orkin is pest control if I remember correctly. The next time they call you can ask them to eradicate themselves.

I was assigned two Orkin phone shops as well, one using my cell phone number and the second using a friend's land line. After the first call (using my cell phone) I received a return call from Orkin within 5 minutes of hanging up.. even though I made it clear that I was gathering information and would call back if and when I was ready to use Orkin. The sales person badgered me for two days! I notified my scheduler of the follow up calls before doing the second location and I was told to include those follow up calls in my narrative for the call. I don't know if my friend was badgered on her phone or not. I told her to just tell them I was not there and take a message. As for the Editors ...I must have had two different ones because I was nicked for something on the first call that I wasn't nicked for on the second call ... When I have these types of narratives I ALWAYS keep a copy of the narrative and the report, especially if it is a phone shop that is not recorded. I feel your pain and will not do any more of these Pest Control phone shops either ... for $5.00 or $ ...

I have voice recorder on my computer so when I call Papa John's or 5 Guys or whatever phone shop I turn it on and put my phone on speaker. It records everything. I don't know if it came with the Dell all-in-one I bought recently or I downloaded it. It doesn't say anything but Voice Recorder. I label it and save it in case Isabella says she ALWAYS offers Soda and Hot Wings.

Comprehensive narratives require all information. The questions are subsets of the narratives. I found it easier to complete the narrative first. Then revise based on discovery as I answer the questions. This way there are no contradictions or missing information.
