visa surcharge shops

I have completed two shops. With these shops, as opposed to the usps ones, they are emailing performance reviews. The first one I got a five(out of five) by one reviewer. The second one I got a 4 by another reviewer. I completed both shops the same way with the same commentary(they both did not charge a surcharge). It goes to show how subjective these analyses can be.

When did you do yours? I did two on Tuesday morning and have not heard anything back. They are still pending validation. They are so straight forward if they don't impose a surcharge, I can't imagine what else they are looking for to "grade." I would sort of like to get them back though before I start the next 23.

The first reviewer gave me my "5" the same day I submitted the report. The second reviewer asked me to go into more detail about the no surcharge. So I wrote a couple of sentences about how there was not any signage of a surcharge and there wasn't one on the receipt. So, I'm guessing she gave me a "4" because she asked me to clarify. But, the subjective part is that the first reviewer did not ask me to clarify and thought my report was great as is.

Thanks still no word here -- I didn't comment on the no surcharge on my first two because well there was no surcharge and all those questions above it make it pretty clear how you have answered the question but I did one tonight and wrote in one sentence about there was no surcharge so I hope it's all good. I am planning on doing a bunch tomorrow.

I just got a 5 via email for a shop I did 7 days ago. There was no surcharge so it was pretty straight forward.
I picked up 4 more to complete my allowed 25. All are now done. I have done a number where I spent more than $10 and that did not cause a problem. The instructions say that you do not have to make a purchase if nothing is available for under $10. The guidelines don't say that you can't spend more. I have paid surcharges in a few places (some pizza and Chinese food restaurants and some liquor stores and even a gardening store and a kid's dance studio).

There are still some assignments for designated locations. I look each one up first. One is a wholesale electrical distributor, another is an event planning service (booking entertainment for parties, etc.), another is a hairdresser whose website says cash only (can't figure out how they even got on the list) and those simply sit there. I assume others have figured out that going somewhere for $5 and no hope of buying something useful is a losing proposition.

Edited to change "useless" to "useful"

Shopping Southeast Pennsylvania, Delaware above the canal, and South Jersey since 2008

I even emailed to clarify that if we do not purchase anything the fee is still $5. They said yes. I suppose for many this is an easy job when they are on the same block as I often see shoppers say they cobble together a bunch of low fee quick and easy shops to make what they consider a decent hourly wage. Personally I would not do one for just the fee unless it was on the block I live on or work on. If I could walk over in my pj's I might do it for $5.
Mine are so slow to move to ok to pay. I have done a boatload now ...16. It was over a week before I got my first results email, then I got another one the next night and another the next night...so three have been graded. The first night one went to ok to pay right away. It was three more days and then a second one just went to ok to pay but according to my records it was not one of the ones that was graded. The other two that were graded and I did get 5s on are still pending validation. Is anyone else seeing that?

That said, yesterday I went to a nearby town that has a square filled with home grown, locally owned shops and had a blast getting things I need/want while doing the shops!

I still have nine left and am trying to figure out how to best use them. My husband was concerned but I said I can always find that many liquor stores that are locally owned if need be. He doesn't know my shopping ability...I love to shop at these type of shops/restaurants etc. I will be fine. Hope to see more of these.

I drove by a mom & pop store the other day that had a large sign posted: 2% discount for cash.

I wished I had taken one of the shops!
So I did eleven of these shops, nine of which were approved so far and scheduled to be paid. Seven of the nine approved shops have reimbursement delineated on the paystub, two do not. Any ideas why? No questions were asked about them, just 'Ok for Pay' then the statement shows nothing other than the $5 pay. sad smiley
My last pay statement from Visa shops I did in June had 3 of them missing reimbursements. I sent an inquiry but haven't heard back yet. I never heard there was an issue with the shops so hopefully they just missed them and will fix it.
Right before I posted this on the forum, I emailed the helpdesk. I looked at the statement last night and the reimbursement had been added. +$14 to the original amount. I wonder how many else they overlooked...
I have 7 shops missing reimbursement this time. Last pay period was fine. Who are you emailing to handle this? And those of you who had this issue did you get it resolved?

I emailed “mspayments@ipsos.com”. I never heard back, but the statement was magically corrected either that day or the next. No trouble this cycle.
Thanks. Unfortunately I was paid for these yesterday. I did more last pay cycle and no problems on the reimbursement payment so I wasn't on top of it this time (and honestly was confused thinking I had until the end of the month to deal with it). I am sure I can get it worked out.
