Have you ever noticed that when you post your comments, the time zone is way different from your local time?

Hi. I just posted a message on one subject and noticed that the mysteryshopforum time zone was 6 hours ahead of california time. Where is the mysteryshopforum located?

It is probably defaulted to GMT (Since that is the standard international default.) If you click on your username at the top and go to "Command Center", there is a link for "Forum Settings". Click that, and set your actual time zone... and TaDah! You are magically transported through space and time and all the forum times will magically move to PST, or PDT... I don't remember which it is right now.

EDIT: I guess US is 'currently observing DST', so you might want to click that box.

Yes, I noticed that, too! I live in SC, and the time shown is always 3 hours later than when I submit. So if I post at 10 am, it shows up as 1 pm!! So I checked out what bigwaltn wrote above...I never knew that setting was up there...I've just changed it, so let's see if it worked......

......well, I changed the settings to fit Eastern US (GMT -5:00), and now, instead of being 3 hours LATER, it's 1 hour EARLIER!!! So I posted at 10:04 am, and it reflected 9:04 AM!! And YES, Eastern US is GMT -5:00!! So there's still an unanswered question here!!

EST is GMT-5, but we are observing DST right now, so we are technically GMT-4. So if you go back to the settings, click on the box under the dropdown to enable DST. Then the time should be right.

Well, let's see if this works.....well, it did!!!! Thanks bigalwtn!
Now I guess I'll have to remember to switch it back when we turn our clocks back in the Fall!
