I absolutely LOVED the Aston Martin shop I did this week. The salesman was super laid-back and showed me one fine automobile. I did a Lamborghini shop on the same day -it was the same experience, but my personality is a much better fit for the Aston. I also loved the car rental shop where I got to drive the nice vehicle of my choice for an entire day (getting paid and reimbursed for the rental and gas!).

I find I also really enjoy high-end apartment shops.

I am liking the Visa chip reader verification shops. Took my lady for a nice lunch and left with a good size dogie bag. Bought a pair of dress pants then went for ice cream.

I am interesting in doing VISA Debit Card with an EMV Chip shops. However, my BofA does not offer a EMV chip debit card. The scheduler suggested I call banks to find which ones offer them. Can anyone share a list of banks that have the Visa debit with EMV chip? Maybe I can shop the bank, too. Thanks.

Thanks - I can get paid for that, too. You deserve a finder's fee.

I dislike car sales shops, because I feel sorry for the salespeople working so hard to make their livings, and then I don't buy. The last time I did an auto shop, yes it was bonused and lured me in, but the MSC was so demanding for narrative and detail. I thought they must have wanted their moneys worth, and swore not to do car sales ever again.

BOA now has a EMV card.
Just went in and it will be mailed to me. About a month ago, my BofA didn't know what I was talking about. (Maybe someone reads the forum?) Thanks, in about a week I will be good to shop!

Pua, I think you spoke with the wrong person a month ago.

HonnyBrown: You are right. Interestingly, this time I talked with a cashier who said I had to talk to a banker. I wound up with the same banker. I told her again what I wanted. This time she asked another person and, ta-da, the card will be in the mail. Maybe I should have just said "chip" instead of EMV chip. That threw her both times. I think the "V" in EMV stands for VISA ... (Euro, MasterCard, VISA). Lesson learned.

I have a BoA Visa Debit Card which has an EMV chip. I just looked at it to make sure that I wasn't mistaken. Ask BofA to issue you a new card.

Edit to add this: "I should have read later posts before replying. But, I will add something new. EMV is an acronym which comes from the first letter of Europay, MasterCard and Visa. You were right about the V standing for Visa.

After receiving similar replies on a post I dedicated to the topic, I went back to my local BofA to talk to a cashier, instead of a banker. She had me talk to the same banker who, last time, said she didn't know what I was talking about. I asked her to check with someone. This time it worked. The card is in the mail ... I hope.

I've done about 5 BJ's bar integrity shops. I don't like them( or most bar shops) because I don't drink. I have to someone get rid of the booze without someone seeing me. Sometimes I order a shot and then pour it into a soda at the end of the night. We only take the shops with booze because we like to eat out at least 1x a week.

I recently took a sleep number bed shop( bonused) and I will NEVER do that again. The presentation is 45 minutes and its a hard, hard sell. I own a sleep number bed that was part of my spouse's work injury settlement. Ours is top of the line. When I went to do the sleep number shop, the woman recognized me. I had to leave, email scheduler. She told me to make up a new name and say I got a divorce. I did that, but the manager( who was my salesperson) was relentless and so annoying. She kept saying " Can I just peek at your former bed" and I said " No, its too traumatic, I don't want to be associated with it anymore". I was fake crying too. It was such a ridiculous shop. Btw, I'm not even fond of that bed. I think its so over-rated and expensive. I'd never buy one if I had to pay for it.

My favorite shops are apartment shops, mostly because I like to see how they are decorated. Also like the furniture shops. Least favorite are car shops.

Not sure where you're located, but A closer look has some new "high end" designer furniture store shops( owned by a celebrity) They are "pay only". Nothing to purchase.

I love my monthly car wash shop, not high pay but my car gets a regular bath. Sit down breakfast and steakhouses where I can take the hubs along with me.

I don't like the money transfer shop especially the fraud/lottery scenario which I'll never do again.

I have a lottery one scheduled for next week. Its at a local grocery store so I figured " why not". Please tell me why you hated it.

Cali...it looks like you got the title of this post confused. This is the "Your FAVORITE shops." thread and not "Your LEAST favorite shops." thread. LOL!!!

jk....

"We're just two lost souls swimming in a fish bowl -- year after year..."
My favs are: golf courses, gardening centers, grocery stores, food (all kinds from ff thru upscale and everything in between), movie theaters, oil changes, auto insurance quotes, and post office shops.

I'm fairly neutral about: gas stations, convenience stores, financial industry, parking, amusement parks, sporting events, casinos, retail shops, taxes, and phone call shops.

I personally don't enjoy: apartments, car sales shops, shops that require ridiculous photos or unbelievable scenarios, shops that don't value a shoppers time and effort by asking for way too much work for the fee, and some retail shops.

The great thing about mystery shopping is there is plenty of room for people with all different kinds of likes and dislikes. What works well for one can be despised by another.

I did a Sleep Number shop. You're right, it was time consuming. It made me realize that I needed a new mattress.

I got a 20 year memory foam mattress from Aldi grocery store during a shop which reimbursed a certain amount.
