I love, love LOVE bank shops. While every bank offers the same products, they all have different "personalities." I found my current bank from mystery shopping.

I avoid food shops for several reasons: they are too much work for a "free meal;" and I don't want the extra calories.

I like the Spencer's shops.... get to look at all the pink fluffy fuzzy handcuffs (even picked up a pair ...for the bedroom grinning smiley ) lol
One of my favorites is for steak dinner at the bar. Yes, it's a zero fee, reimbursement only, but the reports are easy and I find I meet a lot of interesting people at these shops. My last one the guy who sat next to me had just got back from Afghanistan, and he said he was about to down his first beer in over a year.
I kind of wanted to buy it for him, but I had a shop to do, and couldn't order another adult beverage. Still, we had a good chat without it being to distracting for me to get my shop details done.
I would have totally bought that beer and asked for a separate tab because my employer gets pissy about paying for more than 1 drink.

Some of my favorites:

The adult toy store video shops (I find them hilariously fun)
Top Golf (I hate golf and that was about as much fun as I've had in awhile)
Competitor new home shops (for regular shops you have to shut up which is really hard for me but competitor shops they LOVE when you ask tons of questions)

Yep. I thought about doing it that way after I got home. that's how I plan to handle it in the future.
My fav's are: Black Angus bar integrity, the appetizers are amazing. Met a woman a couple nights ago whose daughter is a movie star, and going on tour with Nick Jonas. We became friends and will met again. Having owned a Real Estate Service Co. when married, I love Real Estate, and seeing new homes. Restaurants of course, and most jobs close by (or I don't take them). Getting tired of my cosmetics jobs, tedious reports.
Like to meet new people, so, sitting alone at the bar has opportunities.

Live consciously....
I love the Bank of America credit card apply shops that pay $100 or more at times. Now my credit is bad and I will never get approved and it is not going to affect me as I have no need for credit.

I also like the AMF bowling shops as I make at least $40 plus reimbursements for bowling , drink at bar, and snack bar food item. I could do these everyday 2-3 a day.

The shop I dislike most are EPMS Apartments. Have done 5 in the last 7 years. Not to say I will never do another but the price needs to be super high like $100 plus shop anyone.

Shopping Western NY, Northeast and Central PA, and parts of Ohio and West Virginia. Have car will travel anywhere if the monies right.
I love the high priced Informa bank shops now that I understand how to write those reports efficiently. My new favorites are video valet parking shops; very satisfying to know that you have captured serious fraud on video. I also love overnight hotel shops where there is actually good food included. Too many hotels now have such mediocre and/or limited, dinner menus, that it isn't much fun. Just did a high end Marriott in Manhattan with great food where I was actually allowed to order wine in the bar portion and at the table. And, the report was mercifully simple for the dining portion.

I hate fast food and shops where you have to pretend to have something wrong with your vehicle and wait for help.

Based in MD, near DC
Shopping from the Carolinas to New York
Have video cam; will travel

Poor customer service? Don't get mad; get video.

My favorite shops are apartment shops, mostly because I like to see how they are decorated. Also like the furniture shops. Least favorite are car shops.
After shopping for Remington, I found a new love for EPMS. The EPMS narratives are a breeze!

I am liking the Visa chip reader verification shops. Took my lady for a nice lunch and left with a good size dogie bag. Bought a pair of dress pants then went for ice cream.
Great Tex Mex, Italian dinners, and the steak shops. smiling smiley And trailer checks at the fancy movie theatre.
I really liked the USPS SSK shops - in and out in 2 minutes with three pictures and no narrative.

Also, you could do an unlimited amount per day!

I love my monthly car wash shop, not high pay but my car gets a regular bath. Sit down breakfast and steakhouses where I can take the hubs along with me.

I don't like the money transfer shop especially the fraud/lottery scenario which I'll never do again.
I like the casino shops where you go to a gifting event and try and get a gift. Takes about 5 minutes and the report is fast. No out of pocket unless you hang around the casino, then that 25 dollar fee can also go in about 5 minutes.
The payday loan shops that take less than 10 minutes including reporting time; the Regular USPS shops (not the Dimwit ones, though); the casino shop that provides gas at the convenience store; anything that is quick money.

Now scheduling travel shops for the day after Christmas through mid-January.
I liked the Medieval Times shop. It was my first time there and a nice date night. It was a little overwhelming with 15 employee contacts in just a couple hours, but I diligently prepared and kept my focus. I earned a perfect 10 score, so I was happy that I will be getting reimbursed! smiling smiley
My favourite are upscale shops, especially jewellery stores. I really enjoy doing them. I also like the Business Verification Shops.
My least favourite are shops that require a lot of menu pictures and I have actually never accepted them. The MSCs have stopped sending me emails about them.

I have done movie standee but never again. I also have successfully completed price audits but never again! I found them frustrating and did not give me the enthusiasm I needed.
favorite - Payday loan - I had to pay a utility bill. Paid good and I spent money I would have spent anyway. Steak house - it was an expensive place and my daughter and I got to eat free and I got paid for doing it. Gas station - get some gas and an item in the store and get reimbursed and paid. Gas station audits - especially the ones where they do great and the manger gets real excited about it.

least favorite - hardware store, gas station where I have to take a picture of every pump (that takes forever as some stations are so busy the flow of cars to a pump is endless), but I do take them every now and then.
I forgot I also love grocery stores. I have to shop for groceries anyway why not get paid for doing it and get groceries for free. I have not paid for toilet paper, bottled water and dog food in ages.
I love the Testing Center Shops. Wish I could do more of them. I also really enjoyed a shop at Ripley's Aquarium I completed earlier this year. I would do another one of those. Only thing I found difficult about that one was, was there was a lot of walking. These tired bones of mine do not do well with too much walking. I also love Credit Card Inquiry Shops. Some of the easiest shops there are to complete from beginning to end. At least the ones I have done have been.

My very first shop was a two part Car Negotiation Shop for RSG. I swore never again, and I have kept that promise to myself. No matter how many times SeeLevel Hx (their new name) begs.

I especially like the car wash shops. Most only reimburse the price of the car wash but they are still well worth it. I have gone to a couple of fitness shops. Two of them were great but on the third I had to wait thirty minutes for a tour and when I mentioned that on the report, the editor told me that I should not have waited. I thought if I had left without going on the tour, I would not have been paid. Recently I had a sushi shop and an ice cream shop. They were fun! I like the bank shops and one sporting good shop was especially easy. The most difficult shop I have done was for an amusement site and it was extremely complicated. Restaurant shops are also tricky due to the need for extensive and exact timing.

I am interesting in doing VISA Debit Card with an EMV Chip shops. However, my BofA does not offer a EMV chip debit card. The scheduler suggested I call banks to find which ones offer them. Can anyone share a list of banks that have the Visa debit with EMV chip? Maybe I can shop the bank, too. Thanks.

Shopping SoCal and Maui.
