I just answered your post about my invisible dementia, hope you got a chance to read it. I hadn't seen post as I toggled her. I see your post is gone, but even with dementia, I'll manage. That girl better watch it, I said before bullying is against the law. I have nothing against Jacob and respect him, but.....enough is enough.
The best hand is the closed hand, and thanks for enlightening me. When we all stop posting, her ammunition
is gone, just saying....

Sounds like sage advice to me.

Sorry to hear about the outdated instructions, BG. Hopefully the final instructions allowed for a drink.

How can I properly respond to your bashing comments if your posts keep disappearing? Oh well. Back to work.

Irene, I am NOT and I have never been a moderator on this forum. Shame on you for making things up and starting rumors.

Many think so, but if you say your not, maybe Ssybil2 is.....didn't your friend Sybil2 "makeup" I have dementia.
My friend has it, this is not funny, he no longer drives, can't live alone, no sense of short term memory, it's gone. How doe that relate to me....maybe she should read before spouting out stupid non truths. The other thing to pass alone is, everyone ages, (as she will), nothing to be ashamed of considering the alternative.

I agree, dementia is nothing to joke about. I don't understand how a mystery shop-based forum can have so much anger. There are three people I toggle because they are so filled with vitriol. I don't understand why certain members feel the need to constantly belittle others and to argue every little point.

(Edited to remove specific names....I won't go that route.)

Not everyone will age. Some will die young. There is nothing wrong with it. Dying is a part of life.

I was also called (and want it out there), "an old dog", beside having dementia, I'm a mess, so why do I live a remarkable life, have great memories, proud of my only daughter, and low and behold, remember details about shopping, hotels included.

Such BS going on here, when I try and defend myself, I get called out. I'm waiting for Sybil2 to post something about her jobs that we can learn from. With my dementia, I'm flying to San Francisco Saturday for a retirement party the family is giving for my cousin Dianne Feinstein...gee, I hope I don't get lost.

I rarely post for the same reasons bgriffin brought up in this thread and the other thread. I like the forum when I learn things which is often. I like the forum when a thread goes off topic and ends up being hilarious. But there are posters who consistently thrive on negativity and are sometimes mean and petty. Most of the time I just ignore it, but bgriffin is correct in saying Jacob and the moderators need to know when folks dislike the comments that are better left unsaid. It seems to have increased over the course of the last year, but that is only my humble opinion.

Irene, I'm "old" at 44. People have always said I'm an old soul. I listen to big band, read the classics and my favorite films are DW Griffith. I hate when people say someone is old based on their age. My mother just turned 70 and she does more in one day than my younger friends do in a week winking smiley

Agree, the most ignorant statement, cruel and demeaning, without a thread of compassion. I reported it to Jacob, he was appalled and looking into it. Better to have an old soul than none at all....thx.

@bgriffin –

there was an issue with a moderator not following the rules. That being said, you have repeatedly violated the rules of this forum as well. Please either focus on adding a positive contribution, or refrain from participating.
This goes for everyone.

I'd like to see a "dislike this" button ;-)

Now scheduling travel shops for the day after Christmas through mid-January.

Whoa. Somebody's panties are in a bunch. I can iron them for you.

Like the broken record I've become, cut the crap. No one controls who replies to posts. When you post on an open internet forum, your posts are available for anyone who wishes to reply. Toggle is available if you don't want to see replies from a specific person or persons, but telling others not to reply to your posts is over the top. I'm disappointed. Let's be adults here.[/quot

Woah, speak for yourself. There was nothing wrong with bgriffens response to Sybil's post and your implying that there was is an opinion that not all of us share. And your insuination that he needs his underwear ironed is distasteful.

You are right, Mickey. Since two of bgriffin's responses to Sybil were deleted by a moderator shortly after he posted them, it does appear that my comment was inappropriate. Because his two responses were deleted, my comment is no longer valid and I will remove it. Thanks for letting me know.
Thank you AM. I appreciate your thoughtful response and follow up. I admit that I was reacting to only what was left on the forum and didn't think about that there might be more to the story than what remains here by the time I read it. To everyone, I don't post a lot - but I do thank all of you who take the time to make a positive contribution to this community. It truly is one of the best of its kind and I enjoy reading all of your thoughts and opinions - even when I do not agree with them.

^^ Yes! I've been MSing intermittently for years for ~6 MSCs. I didn't know anyone else who did it. I just recently found this forum after reading the Forbes article. Route shopping and negotiating for bonuses were entirely new concepts for me. The posts here have certainly upped my game, and I'm grateful to those who have shared their experiences and knowledge. You've helped me tremendously, so thank you.
Wrong post.

(Mod note:
The last page or so of comments have had nothing to do with "Courtyard Shop" and so this thread has been closed.
