Payment is a coupon?

What am I missing here? MSC offers a coupon for $10 off $50 purchase, and reimbursement of $15 for an item that cannot be returned. Why would shoppers take these? Seriously asking. Is a coupon as payment the wave of the future?

ETA: Can't be used on sale items, either. I just don't get why someone would take these.

Now scheduling travel shops for the day after Christmas through mid-January.

Hope it's not a trend. I never use coupons. The coupon + reimbursement = 50% of the cost. Shopper has to pony up the other 50% plus write a report. Can't think of any reason that I'd be willing to take that shop.

Whatever the $50 item is, you can probably get it on Amazon for much less and not have to write a report.
There is only one positive about these shops. "Coupon shop" is in the subject line which makes it much easier to identify and delete.

I just turned down a shop where you get a 20.00 reimbursement for buying something in a workout store.
prices are crazy high there, you'd get iike a keychain or headband with their name on it, no pay for report.
Why bother, weird because this is a good company....hopefully, this isn't a new wave,

When they had it at Gordsmans, it worked out for me because it was basically a huge discount for a 10 minute report for things I wanted. So yeah, that's why I took the assignment. I took it because it was worth it for me...

It's like the restaurant shops that pay by coupon, or the shoe shops that reimburse $10 to $15. The MSCs involved may have no motivation to advise the client to catch up with reality and risk losing the contract.

If these are the coupon shops I'm thinking of, they are worth a second look. The report takes 5 minutes with no narrative. The coupon offer varies by store, as does the reimbursement. In the beginning I was getting free meals and items at my favorite stores. I agree that lately the coupons haven't been as great.
