Casinos and other shops in Atlantic City

Just wondering what kinds of shops are available in Atlantic City (casinos and so on).

I am thinking of taking a long weekend in mid to late October in that direction, also spending a couple of days in Philadelphia.

Thanks to my loyalty card from Harrah's/Horsehoe, I can get a free room during the week in AC....so to get some shops out there would be a nice bonus.

Silver certified (since 2009) and willing to do shops all around the greater Chicago, NW Indiana, and Southern Wisconsin areas (including airports!.

Customer Impact has some of the restaurants. Bestmark had some ok casino shops but I haven't seen them in awhile. I don't check job boards much so they might be getting snatched up early.

How many casinos are still open there in Atlantic City? I know that more than a few have closed.

At least a few....I can stay at 3 different ones

8 ish. Still more open casinos than the market can support.

I think that one of the eight is closing after Labor Day weekend, and there will still be too many, even before the proposed casinos in North Jersey are approved (if they are approved).
