2 night stay, $6000.00

Anyone have any experience with the timeshare 2 night stay with Intellishop. They are going to charge my card 6000.00 to later be refunded. That makes me nervous. I know they are a reputable company, but that is a lot of dough.

Although I have worked for intellishop for over 15 years, I would not trust them to answer questions or emails if something went south.
Furthermore, for that kind of "risk" how high would the fee need to be?
Good point, SoCal. I did a money wire to Mexico shop where I paid cash. It took a lot of effort to get reimbursed for that. That shop is the sole reason why I don't do shops involving cash.

I saw it, Stacy, and opted out without a second thought. I just didn't think the shop paid enough for what is required. Let us know how it goes and good luck.
Gosh, and here I am trying to unload my timeshare. $6000 is a large cash/credit outlay for a shop. I would not even think of doing it.

Reversed or refunded? If you use a cash back card, that's an extra $180 if it's refunded. Not worth it if it's reversed. As long as the terms are in writing, I might give it a try. What did you think of the workload, Stacy?

ETA: In which state are these located? There don't seem to be any in mine, but I travel frequently.

That's the sole reason I don't do shops involving Intellishop!
That is a major amount of money, Stacy. I'd be very cautious. Risking $60 or $600 is one thing, but $6,000 is too big a risk for me.
I did not take it. I took everyone's advice and decided against. That is just too big a risk. Thanks you guys!!!!

Kudos on your decision, Stacy!
I did two which did not require purchases. They put my name on the database as owning an old timeshare and I recorded the SR's attempt to convert and upsell. I would not do the recent scenario where you need to reveal and get it reversed with the manager.

I agree, Shopper. Too big of a chance the reimbursement wouldn't come through. An editor having a bad day could screw things up royal!

I skimmed the email, saw $6000 and deleted. I don't know how many there were but there is one still sitting on the job board.

I deleted the spend around $1000 to buy a computer and then return the computer a few hours later from another company for $25.00.

I won't do the shop where you call the hotel and need a large amount on your credit card for a reservation that is later cancelled.

I have the credit available but If it is not something I want anyway then I won't do it. I can picture months of phone calls and emails trying to get your credit card company to fix it.
There's no way I would ever let a company charge $6,000 on my card for any reason. ANY REASON.
is there a 90 minute presentation? You might get a free gift and a high pressure sales pitch..unless Starwood or Marriott...lol
If I have to put $6000 on my charge card for another entity, I want interest. In Wisconsin a 14 day loan for $6000 will cost $1320.00 at a payday loan type store. 573.57% interest. How much was that reimbursement again?
Unbelievable ! You can't even accumulate credit card points if they refund you. And who says they will refund you immediately. I do a lot of shops for this company but I don't have a lot of cash layouts. If you want to wait over 2 months to get paid ....but I'd say no. Not worth it. Too risky.
Has anyone else used "lost" credit cards with valid expeiration dates on them for over-the-phone hotel reservations? I have two cards that went missing that I had replaced with new numbers. After I found the old cards, knowing they were no longer valid, I decided to try them when making hotel reservations. They work for a hitel Now, I still call and cancel the reservations, but even if I forgot to do it, I would not be out anything.
