Maritz App- massive failure

I used the app recently for one of the 35 audits I had to do. It was awful because of how poorly laid out the report was in the app but I got through it.
I've been complaining to them since if came out that the app doesn't also save the pictures in your camera roll in case they're needed. Nobody knows what to do with feedback because they're so poorly managed as accompany.
Now I have a hold on that one job saying I didn't supply 8 photos.
Of course I did. The app didn't give them to you. That's not my problem. They're in for a big fight if they think I'm going back there for free.
Don't use the app. Seriously. Don't.

I hear ya! I have 6 shops now on hold due to various issues with the app. Your right there is no one to help you because they don't know either. I finally decided to do the reshops but when I went to do updates the shops were gone off my current shops list. Then I was told nothing had been removed. they are still not on my list.
I have spent two weeks trying to take care of it with no success. I decided to cut my losses and move on. Best of luck to anyone that attempts these your at the mercy of the most inconsistent editors that I have ever experienced. I will continue to shop with companies that like to pay me for my work. It always ends up costing me to do their shops and I no longer have the money, time or interest!
I haven't tried the app, and the way I shop it works better for me to enter the reports at home. But on other apps, when I need to retrieve a photo not in my camera roll, I have had success with a utility app called DiskDigger (for Android.) It digs through the cache files on your phone and retrieves any photos it finds. It's a little time consuming to use, but works as a last resort. (I have no relationship with the app or its makers, etc.)
I haven't yet tried the app but I was recently chatting with a Maritz rep who told me that the app was getting rave reviews. I really only want to do a gas station once so I have still been doing them the time tested way. Maybe by next spring when I'm ready to do more outside work the app will have all the kinks worked out. But I completely agree. The pics should also store to the camera roll.
I just had a conversation with one of their app guys that told me just the opposite. In fact, he was dumping on it so bad that I had to tell him some good things about it. I felt like he was about to become suicidal over it.

I don't use apps for anyone anymore. It's always been a nightmare. Something that should help me get something done faster, makes my day another 6 hours longer. My days are always start at 12 hours but at least I can take a 3 hour nap when I get home so I can write my baby essays.
I used an app last winter. It didn't work and I ended up having to drive another 7 hours to redo the shop. Oh and it didn't work the second time around.

Until they can prove the apps work, I'm not going to use them.

Live your life in such a way that when your feet hit the floor in the morning; the devil shudders...And yells OH #%*+! SHE'S AWAKE!
I have self-appointed Hoju to be my guinea pig bytch. When she gives the squeal of delight that it is working properly on a consistent basis then I'll give it a try.
It's going to be a LONG time before I give this thing a try again.

I haven't found an app yet that saves time - but I have found ways to get around some of the issues (especially photo ones) if the app is a necessary evil.

I will log in - read the requirements then back out of the app and take the photos normally.
This way they are on your camera roll and you can just call on them from there. Just choose File instead of Take A Picture and you should be able to pull them either from "Recent" or from Files / Folders. You do need to know where your phone stores photos.

I also save a lot of time by using Google Photos (you get a lot of space for free) so I always have a back-up copy saved to the cloud to prevent any mishaps (download it to your phone and make sure it is set to automatically "synch" - this will instantly put a copy into your Google Photos account if you have a data plan or are logged into Wi-Fi).
When I need to pull photos I usually just retrieve them from my Google Photos album - then periodically delete all the copies stored in the phone memory (that adds up fast). Even for non-app jobs this is how I take my photos and then just access them from the PC when I get home on Google Photos. You can now choose to have them also synch to Google Storage which can then automatically synch with your computer.
These two programs have made my life much easier.

Any app that can't access photos from the roll or the Google Photos folder is going to be worthless anyway.
Mine show up in my gallery every time. I don't know what a camera roll is though. If it saved every photo after submitting i'd be in trouble cause I tend to take a lot of them and that would eat space. I agree with google photos, maybe cause I was a boy scout and learned to always be prepared. Probably why I take extra photos and don't rely on a 4g network working in the boonies.
