Question about a failed in home shop

Hello,

I had an in home shop scheduled tonight. The company was supposed to send a sales rep to pitch flooring products to me. I had an appointment scheduled for a window of 7:00pm to 9:00pm.

The sales rep never showed. I finally received a phone call at 9:53 with the rep explaining that he was held up on a previous job and wanted to reschedule. I declined to reschedule at the time.

In your experiences, how will the MSC handle this? Will they not pay me unless I reschedule? I had set aside 2 hours of time to do this tonight. I emailed the MSC with the original confirmation and the details of tonight.

Depends on if the guidelines covered this possibility. They may want you to go ahead and reschedule.

Good luck. Let us know what happens.
If there is nothing that specifies what to do in these situations then I would certainly still expect to get paid. You set the time aside and did your part. If it is not in their contract with you, they are out of luck.

Since every MSC is different, you might get relevant comments if you identify which MSC you are talking about. Contacting the company is a good idea.
I was hesitant to name the MSC at first. However, they did just notify me that I will get paid as long as I fill out the report per certain instructions. They have also offered me a second try for a second fee. Thanks Imyst!
