Movie shop - What is a theater check?

In the guidelines for one of the shops it mentions to look for theater checks. What is it exactly? I thought if meant if the crew member come in to look at the trash can, etc.? However, if I am sitting in the movie theater, I can not see if anyone comes in to look at the trash as the trash cans are by the exit and not visible from the theater seating area?

An usher walks into the theater and walks up to the screen and checks the rows. I guess looking for trash, spills, patron behavior(?) and the general condition of the theater. They usually have a flashlight. If they do it right, they are hard to miss.
At my theater, a staff member usually comes in right after the movie has started. If you sit on the side of the theater by the entrance, in the middle, you have a better chance of seeing them.
Thank you both. I will have to look harder the next time I am at the movies.

There is a clip board on the side wall at all the theaters I have visited, the employee walks up to the side of the theater and does something like a make a mark on it I'm not sure and at the Regal shops they are to come in twice during the showing. The first time is usually within 15 mins from my experience.
