Who is Big Sister?

There are tons of hotels and motels in Orlando that are less expensive than the Rosen. Go on Trivago or other booking site and check it out.

I was at the outlet mall a mile down international drive about 2 hours ago. Thought about stopping in but ready to get home for a much needed 4 weeks of rest.

I live in Orlando and just had too much going on to do it. This is my first year shopping, I figure I'll have another chance. I did do a $30 valet shop about a block away from the convention hotel on Friday night.

I'm curious to hear how it was.

I do shops at those malls on occasion. Between the heat, the tourists, and bad traffic... it sucks there. I try to do them in the late evening if I can. You didn't miss much.

Hilariously enough when I was on the phone with the scheduler I made the comment that I shop another client in that mall fairly often and the place is crazy busy. Then went on to add that I would probably be kicking myself when I left for agreeing to do the shop. I was in the store about 20 minutes but it was just a minute or two over an hour between getting off the turnpike to getting back on.

The shopperfest was very informative! Being a shopper for almost 2 years, I felt I got a lot of invaluable information. Including the video shopping certifications. I'm very happy I went! Although I don't see the real point in going multiple times. I was surprised how little the crowd was, but apparently it was the biggest yet.

When you say that the crowd was "little," do you mean, say fewer than 50 shoppers? Or "only" about 100 (200, 300)?

I was there! It was fun AND informative!

I remember they said how many shoppers were there but I forget. If I had to guess about 100. Next year the fest is in Dallas, TX no dates announced. I had a really good time, better then I expected. I did six shops while I was in Florida. I would have done a few more but vehicle trouble curtailed doing that!

Perhaps I will make it to the metroplex next year.

Shops. I do like socializing though. There is an event in Los Angeles that I am going to miss this month.

I am flying out that day for something else that cannot be changed. Some of the owners/schedulers have become personal friends of mine over the years (meaning that we socialize outside of work, etc).

Thanks! As a very part-time mystery shopper, I had wondered how people who mystery shop extensively handle things. This was helpful.

I know you said you have spoken at these before, is there something I need to do in order to be a speaker or ask about being one?

Well, attending one and introducing yourself and what you view as the contribution that you could make, would go a long way. We are not just there as speakers; we teach, mentor, encourage, network, and hug.
