Need advice on hotel shop

I was doing a movie theater shop recently and a woman was using and talking on her cell phone during the movie. Several people said something to her but she was defiant. Another moviegoer got an employee to intervene. She started to fight with the employee. That disruption made for a fun report.

Irene, are you saying that because so many people are constantly on their cell phones, it makes it alright to be rude to others in public settings?

No, I didn't say it is o.k.to be rude., but you are great at putting words into one's mouth, it is a talent.
Movies always tell you to turn off your phones, and it is reason to kick someone out, as it is not allowed. Public places as restaurants where families sit together are always on phones, doesn't bother me, I'm not at their table. You do know we have to take pictures of food, and if I get a text from my daughter, yes, I'll be on my phone, texting doesn't disturb anyone, and it is 2017. Everyone on their phone isn't rude.....it is acceptable....Rudeness comes in different forms, think about it...calling someone an "Old Dog" is rude,
just an example......

You absolutely did not quote anything in the post I was replying to.

I couldn't care less if you go off topic. I was just trying to determine if there was any relevancy at all or if you were just trying to pick a fight.

I think she was answering my question when I asked her if they confirmed it at check in.

Look, a squirrel!! Nice to know I am not the only one who gets redirected so easily, LOL. Now lighten up everybody!
Agreed with Wales that perhaps would could just answer the OP's question and offer advice for the newbies.

I can't imagine a situation where being provided the wrong bed size would invalidate the shop, so I would not worry about it. You can mention it in the report if you feel like it's appropriate. Hotel shops are usually based on judging employee performance, so confirming the bed type may or may not be part of the staff responsibility.

It's my understanding that hotel policies (which you often sign at check in) give the hotel the right to modify bed types from the reservation as needed; Unless the reservation specifically guarantees the bed type.
LOL at Irene missing the "L" in public in her post, LOL. I couldn't help but laugh, sorry!
I for one would be ticked off if I wanted a king bed and was given a queen, or asked for a queen and was given a full. I like room to stretch out. I am not a tall or big person and nor is my husband, and we love each other but we definitely like our space.

Also what on earth does rude cell phone talk have to do with anything in this thread??

We both know as it happened to us, hopefully we can move forward without attacks or putting words in others mouths. I really don't know what this is all about.....leaving now to continue on my new Foodies forum.
Work it out kids, but for the records, i know what BGriffin is talking about.

Irene, it would have been funny no matter who typed "pubic" instead of public. C'mon, pubic places? Nothing personal. Any other word, not so funny. Sorry if it offended you.

Actually I found it to be the most disgusting typo that I have read in a long time. The image of a pubic hair and food...shudder! For the record, I am NOT saying that Irene did it on purpose. I am NOT putting anything in her mouth.

Don't worry. I know I am not your type. I just didn't want you to feel left out. Virtual air hugs and virtual air kisses.

Yes I am sensitive to the fact that someone's pube could be in my food. You know it happens. Just like spit, snot and other lovely bodily items. Yuckity, yuck!
@OP: Hang in there. Once, I had to salvage a hotel shop that had glaring (at least to me) errors. My shop was accepted. I surmise that my shop was accepted because I did everything else exactly as the shop was written, explained what did/did not happen in the "errors", and presented everything that I thought was good as well as I could. I triple and quadruple checked and revised my narrative until I absolutely had to move on to another job.

Please update us about the outcome of your shop, okay? smiling smiley

You are correct. The report form will most likely not address this. It is a requested accommodation they failed to satisfy for whatever reason. It will not interfere with your execution. Perhaps call the desk and make an inquiry. Yes, first look at your reservation for your PREFERENCE. Ask them what happened to your request. Make note of it in your report.
It depends on which company it is for. If it was required then yhat is an issue, if they do nt care what bed you got then not worth mentioning unless you paid for it and got a full.
