What are your mystery shopping goals for 2017?

Hey Shoppers!

Now that we've got 2017 started, I'm really curious about your goals for this year, in terms of mystery shopping.

Are you planning on doing more assignments? Better assignments? Do you have an income goal?

I want to do more hotel shops now that I have my foot in the door with Coyle. I think I will do less low fee shops and focus more on merchandising. I don't have an income goal. I plan on investing more of whatever I make into my stock market portfolio.
Less shops but more money. This means no more FF and hopefully more hotels, especially the kind that come all inclusive.
I had three rejected shops at the end of 2016 (my fault) and I am going to try to be more careful in what I apply for. I am setting a low goal of three or four shops per week but will try to aim for more high paying ones. I tend to complete a lot of fast food shops and banks but would like to branch out. Lately, I have received a load of emails about applying for a credit card, which I definitely don't need, and little else. About two months ago, I received my dream job of a fitness club that was supposed to be somewhat long term but then was abruptly terminated. I would love to get a spa shop and will keep my eyes open for that. So, in short, my goals are to be more careful with my reports, to be more selective in what I apply for and not to get too upset when shops or rejected or abruptly cancelled.
No more $5 payout shops for horrible food with too much work. No more hotels unless it averages out to at least $20 and hour instead of $7. Not worth it.
My goals for 2017 are to continue to diversify between companies and merchandising. I am looking to reduce my debt and earn approximately $10,000 to $12,000 mystery shopping. My immediate goal is to get Girl Scout cookies out to my favorite schedulers and teams in appreciation for the opportunities that have been extended to me in 2016. Although it is cold in the Northeast at this time of year I will continue trucking along with my vestie!! I wish everyone a successful 2017.
This is the fourth year as a MS and each year has been better than the year before. I am looking forward to a great year not only financially but in learning and improving. I have enjoyed the forum Thank you for all the helpful tips. It is so nice to know that others have made the same mistakes. Loved the funny moments and stories. We have to have a sense of humor to get through some of the assignments and those reports. May we all have a great 2017.

My goal is to do mystery shopping as full-time and also do at least one mystery shopping job once a week
I hope to be able maintain 75 shops per month. It is pretty easy to schedule 50 shops for my area per month. After that though,it is a struggle. Last year, my first year, I did not have a relationship with any schedulers. This year I hope to meet my goals because of the newly formed relationship with schedulers.

My goal is to diversity the type of shops I do. I want to train myself to do more shops that require details in order to prepare myself for hotel shops. I will also continue to value my work by not doing low paying shops. smiling smiley
Work more, make less.
Oh wait no that's backwards.
Work less, make more!

I had this shop to a drug store for an anti aging product thinking that it would be a nice face cream, you keep the purchase $99 but to my surprise it is a supplement but it was OK
I'm largely doing travel writing these days, and only really take on shops that I really want to (rare,) or ones where they send out those panic button emails and then capitulate to my demands for a higher bonus (which they do most of the time.) Otherwise, I'm staying out of it.

Keeps me more active in the industry than I had anticipated, but it fills in certain gaps in my income.
My goal is to keep on keeping on. I am new bur have. done 37 shops since November 29. I want to explore different shops.
No more work for free. If a shop only reimburses for your expenses then it's a no. I know the companies are making something for me filling out these reports they just are not paying it out so let newbies do them till they figure out they are working for free.
I travel a 60 miles radius for a lot of MS. I do mostly $20.00 and up shops. I can not do those $5 and $15 dollar shops and come out ahead. Even some of the restaurant shop are the same as buy one meal get one free. You can find a coupon and not have to do a report. I am going to start doing higher paying jobs and not wasting my drive time plus gas and wear and tear on my car. I only made $4500. last year this year I am going to work smarter than harder. You all have a great day and make lots of money. (and fun)
My goal is all about learning and figuring out what I can make doing MS. I started doing them just a short time ago, and I am still learning. I take all of the money I learn and put it toward credit card bills. My 2017 goal is to get my debt down doing MS, learn as much as I can, and see where this can take me.
Sometimes a meal (especially at a high-dollar restaurant) is worth filling out a form. My husband and I eat out al lot and a new experience is often worth it, though not always.
I am getting my third certification, and gold certification from the MSPA I've already got professional industry writing, and video shopping one. I plan on organizing my list of clients, and having a master list of all companies that I'm assigned to, and a separate list of clients current, and a separate list of clients that I haven't done my first job at 4. I also want to get brand recognition for my website as a mystery shopper and independent contractor of sorts, as well as freelance writing. As of now I can pretty much promise people a 10, before hand. I also plan on adding my video equipment to my Arsenal pretty soon, so that I can broaden my horizons and have more assignments available to me, and provide better service for my clients. Not many people think about this as a business, but I'm proud of mine and love it

Check out my website please! It's just dorky, I'm not really selling anything on it, I hope it's not offensive that I left it in here.

I have managed to make my Van payment every month in 2016 with my shopping. I want to be able to hold an extra payment in waiting for 2017. So I guess I would like to increase a little from what I do now. I am so happy with my Mystery Shopping. I have a good time, get to see the country, have a place to go, and something to do so it is all good. I always say," I will sleep when I die so let's get started". Already 10% more shops done in January this year compared to last year.
Yeah some of them have 2.7 million dollar contract LOL just get picky until they get desperate that's what I say. I like the ones that have lots of jobs in the area so that you can just pick up a whole string of them. That makes it really easy to jump in and not have just chump change come in with a couple of chunks you knowwinking smiley
I want to work less, and make more money. I will no longer accept low paying jobs, even if they are down the block.
Full time shopping again for me. Ive been so busy with shops that my work was getting in the way.
In a perfect year, I would schedule and execute efficient work that makes me a milionaire.

Given my jobs and life itself, I will do as many shops, audits, and merchandising tasks as possible while allowing plenty of time for reading, pondering, and painting. (Are there any shops at at supply stores that pay for a new easel?)
