Five Guys price increase

Alycja, no need to throw a tantrum just because you don't get your way. You come into the forum and blatantly ask people to break forum rules and ask for them to violate ICAs and then YOU get offended. (inappropriate antagonistic comment removed)

I can't remember the last time I did a Five Guys shop where the survey didn't ask for clarification as to why my purchase was so high. I always explain that the prices went up! I also am able to feed more of my crew with the regular size items so I don't order the small burger and little fries. Even still, I feel those who want to order that size should receive reimbursement for that size since Five Guys seems to think it's the right size for a single diner.

Here's my question: I logged onto the msc's website and I see several Five Guys shops. Some reimburse $8 and some reimburse only $6. Anyone have any idea why?

Check the shop time window. The higher fee is "must enter 15 minutes before closing." Reimbursement is the same. There is an added reimbursement should the shop require the purchase of a milkshake.

$12 in this area will cover the cost of a little cheeseburger, little fries and a small drink. If you add bacon, you are out of pocket.

I like a bacon cheeseburger, and even the little fries are too many for me to eat! In my area it doesn't go over much, maybe 70 cents or something like that. Worth it to me, especially since I only do these shops when bonused. Last month I did one with a shop bonus of $13 (total payment of $25) plus reimbursement so going over slightly was just fine.

Alycja, (inappropriate antagonistic comment removed). Yes, you are deflecting the fact that you asked for someone to violate their ICA and the forum rules. Nothing wrong with my reading comprehension, as anyone can plainly see. But you keep digging yourself into a deeper and deeper hole. Stop while you are NOT ahead.

The ones due this week are $8, the regular fee is $6. The MSC is currently offering bonuses (by email) to the regular shoppers and may eventually add their 'Make An Offer' link to the more remote locations as they start making phone calls this weekend. Don't call them, they don't negotiate unless they call you.

The ones that start the last half hour before closing start at $9.

Did one today and my total was a lot more than normal. I was thinking "Crap the prices have gone up, MSC really needs to up the reimbursement."
It wasn't until I sat down and was observing the kitchen when I realized I forgot to say "little" That kinda makes a difference.
Also made me realize I probably need to be a bit more focused the rest of the shop.
On a side note, I finished that meal 10 hours ago and am still not hungry again.

I did the exact same thing today LOL. Fortunately I was very hungry.

Here in Chicago, I can still get a little burger, little fries, and regular drink for $11.57. And that's with the high Chicago tax! Normal shop fee is $6, but I've been lucky enough to get bonuses of $11-12. My favorite thing is the online order, because the site tend not to work, so I don't even have to go there, and still be paid the $11 fee.
I've done 2 Five Guys recently and my regular order of bacon dog, little fries, and regular drink has gone from 11.69 to 12.32. The grilled cheese is the cheapest sandwich.

Panda has also increased prices. Used to be I could get a plate with a premium item or a plate with an appetizer for $8.99. Yesterday it was $9.32, which is over the reimbursement.

NOTE: I'm not on the forum every day. If someone comments on my post, I might not reply right away. I've been a shopper since 1991. I've never done any work for a MS company in any other capacity.
I also noticed an increase last year. I am doing one, before closing on the 29th. Reimbursement is $12, no bonus. Base pay here in Vegas is $13. I happen to like the grilled cheese with tomato and bacon.
with small drink and small fries, some of my husband's same sandwich is covered.

1x Grilled Cheese Sandwich $4.44

Tomatoes, Regular, Add Bacon ($.50 for bacon)
1x Regular Drink $2.39

1x Regular Drink $2.39 (free refills)

SUB TOTAL
$9.22

Tax
$0.75

TOTAL
$9.97

When I add my husband's grilled cheese w/ tomato and bacon, It comes to $14.41 (plus tax on his sandwich)...so for about $2.50 or so, we both eat...and eat peanuts while we wait. An, they will give you bags to take peanuts home, if so inclined.
Try the veggie w cheese- the mushrooms have a meaty flavor! Same with grilled cheese- add mushrooms and grilled onions. Makes a tasty sandwich..... and the price is right.
Just checked the prices at my local Five Guys in SW Connecticut - no change, so if I do any more of these, my standard order of little cheeseburger, small fries and regular drink will still be $11.88.

Thanks, I had a shop today and tried the Grilled Cheese with mushrooms. It was excellent and I will order it again on my next shop. No problem getting under the reimbursement amount.

Did you add fries to this order? This shows two drinks.

I guess from what everone is saying it's not across the board so i guess reimbursement won't go up for now at least.

yes, both locations. I do them each twice a month !
I used to do a nearby location at least once a month. It got to the point that when I walked in one of the employees would run into the restroom (presumably to check it) and then would wipe the doors and move on to wipe the counters. This inoculated them from any cleaning issue "deductions" as cleaning was being done while I was there. Now I shop the location about every three months and most of the staff has changed. I have heard that managers get bonuses based on good evals so the crew is trained to look for shoppers and check the tapes if they think one is in the store. It is amusing to watch the crew scurry. One time, when it was really crowded, my order came up way ahead of others. The person calling my number prefaced it with, "Jump The Line! No. 42." That's when I decided the restaurant needed more shopper rotation. I cut back to 3-4 a year. When I eat there on my own dime I don't have to get the required fries and that's a good thing, too.

I did my first 5 Guys for the year this week. My usual, a Little Burger, Little Fries and regular-size soda, was $11.92. I checked my 2016 spreadsheet. It was $11.20 last year. This price is for Southern California 5 Guys.

I did a Five Guys last night. I ordered a Little Cheeseburger, Little Fries and a small fountain drink. The total was $10.45. This was in Cincinnati, OH.
$11.68 in Maryland in December for the Little Cheeseburger, Little Fries and regular drink.
