Doesn't anybody own a Cadillac?

I have been getting emails for weeks with the same Cadillac shops open. I'm about to email the scheduler and tell them if they cover the cost of a rental and a decent bonus I'll go rent a Cadillac and take it in

LOL. That's funny, but I am pretty sure somehow they could discover it's a rental. If I lived in Texas I would borrow my wealthy aunt's Caddy.
Does anyone else think this might be a marketing event that is meant to pique our interest in Cadillacs?

I do have a friend that has a 2017 ATS-V but I don't even have to ask him if I can use it. The answer is no.

If they ask, "Uh, isn't this a rental?" I would just replay, "Yes, but I didn't opt for the insurance..."
I wish the MS that did Chevrolet didn't have mileage restrictions. I am getting a wheel alignment in a few days it would be nice to Mystery Shop it.
HAHA. I've seen these as well my inbox gets bombarded with those emails daily.
I keep thinking to myself, the people who own Cadillacs don't seem like the type of people searching for a little extra income by mystery shopping. Yes, that may be stereotyping, but it fits all the Cadillac owners I've known over the years.
I think the stereotype fits for a reason.

There are plenty of MSers that have good income and nice cars...but shoppers tend to frugal people, and frugal people don't favor Caddy's in my experience.
Last year, it was the one and two part negotiations; now it's Cadillac.

Getting desperate emails every ten minutes is tiresome.

My "neighbor" drives a big, black Cadillac Escalade. He actually has a whole bunch of houses all over the US. He makes far too much money per hour at his regular "job" to be bothered with MS. If I needed to borrow the Cadillac to move furniture, he'd let me. I'd never ask him if I could go use his car to get serviced. That's not quite as weird as the Masereti shop that we used to see so often.

I'm frugal. Cadillac isn't my style. Too bulky. Not sexy enough. smiling smiley
I found a friend with a Cadillac but after I get them their work done, there's very little money for me. I like my friend a lot, but I'm not sure I want to spend the afternoon getting them a free oil change. Dealerships tend to charge much more than the cheaper oil change spots I can shop.

Your neighbor is a pimp?

Seriously though...the Escalade costs almost $20k more than an X1, which comes with free oil changes. I don't even want to get into fuel efficiency. I can honestly say that I don't know a single person who drives a Cadillac. Most of my well-off friends drive Teslas...
At this point they could at least raise the fee to $100. Maybe that $10 will get the job done.

No offense meant to Cadillac owners, but if the car is essentially a display of wealth and fuel inefficiency, does $10 or saving any money at all even matter?
Good point Steve.

Charge them a reasonable fee. If an oil change were $70 ask them if they would give you $35 to get an oil change for them. Win win and I don't think that's out of line.
A friend tells me they won't cover the cost of a rental. So maybe test drive from one dealership and bring it back with the tires rotated.
Oh my! Yes, I told them that I updated my car information on my extended profile and it is NOT a Cadillac, so I hope now to stop receiving these repetitive emails once a day... NOPE. They said I either unsubscribe altogether and can't be selective.
He he he. When I saw the amount, I actually thought of asking my neighbor, who owns the Escalade if I could take her to get her car serviced. Then the Creepy factor went through my mind. LOL
My boyfriend drives a Cadillac because it feels like a good, solid, well-made car, drives very smoothly, and gets around well in the snow with the all wheel drive. He bought it slightly used and it was not all that expensive. After receiving those emails daily for months and having applied for the shop, I see that all the jobs in my state were pulled. They must be just doing certain states this month, and will do the other states a different month.
How many days are they going to post at $90. It obviously isn't working. Up your game! I just replied letting them know my sister-in-law just purchased a new Caddie. I offered to take her car in for service, if they will fly me to Dallas for the shop. Probably won't fly, huh?

You could always play the religious or karma card and tell her that something just laid it on your heart to pay it forward. Tell her someone did something special for you and you wanted to pass on the giving. *shrugs* worth a shot smiling smiley

The only emails I have received lately have been at least five or more from different msc regarding going to a Cadillac dealer or having some work done on a Cadillac. The other continues to be a request for shoppers to go to a bank and open a new credit card account. I don't want either!
Audi >>> Cadillac.

Bring back the Audi shops, so I can save money on my next service.

Shopping the Greater Denver Area, Colorado Springs and in-between in Colorado. 33 year old male and willing to travel!
I would love a Lexus shop!!! All I have found are phone calls that pay less than $3! Woohoo!
