Posting in Fast Food restaurant

Tonight I did the famous arch shop. I waited in the drive thru for 10 minutes and then had to go inside. When I went inside, I saw it printed on the wall, "If you work on the shift that is mystery shopped and fails you will be suspended and possible terminated." I made sure I dotted my eyes and crossed my tees. I do not want to be the one to get anyone terminated.

Wow, serious stuff.

p.s. I wanted to post something because I noticed I would reach number 500 by doing so. That's a lot of talk. smiling smiley

That is beyond unfair. That kind of management style fails miserably, but of course, it's never their fault.

500! And, a notable post at thatsmiling smiley
So much for using this as a tool to improve. I know many companies do, but management for this location obviously does not.

Personally, I would tell the MSC about this. It's possible that management is actually in violation for this practice. Not to mention, I find it strange that they'd post a sign like this publicly.

Actually, it makes me wonder for exactly whose benefit the sign is posted...food for thought.

So very much for using this as a tool to improvement. I know many parties do, but manager for this location plainly does not.

In our area it seems to be the opposite. The client has disputed nearly all negative aspects of the reports. If I had to make an uneducated guess I would say we have a battle going on between corporate and franchisee.

There was a housekeeper, at my hotel, that worked at the arches also. She came in one morning and said they had been shopped at got a "D". She laughed and said it didn't matter what they scored because no one cared anyway.

I was not shopping for that MSC anymore but I knew why they probably got that score. I guess employees/management figured they had the business so it did not matter what their score was.

I agree it would take a major meltdown on several levels to sour the majority on the arches. Of course no particular concept lasts forever.
My most notorious golden arches dispute was when I criticized the drive-through employee for dropping my change on the ground and declining to pick it up or give me change again. I later learned that the manager was working the drive-through. Guess who reviewed the security tapes and disputed my timing?
